Alice's Palace Holiday Home Ocean Grove

Recently enjoyed an extended Easter vacation at Alice’s Palace and was pleasantly surprised at how close the accommodation is to the beach, river and city centre. My son, his wife and their family joined us for part of the vacation and the house was perfect for the whole lot of us. The place has everything you would need and the host Sue was so friendly and helpful. We loved it so much we have pre booked for next year. Thoroughly recommend it for short or even long stays.

Alice's Palace was a great place to stay for a weekend trip down the Great Ocean Road. The home was comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the beautiful gas fireplace and the board games that were available to use. Easy to find and close access to shops helped make our weekend away extra special.

Don't miss out on staying here. It's 2 minutes walk to the beach and to great coffee at The Dunes. Sue is a delight to communicate with and super helpful. The fire pit and wood BBQ are fun to gather around at the end of a long day and the beds are super comfy. Rob's tips on where to eat and where to go were spot on too!We stopped at McGlashan's on the way for delicious wood fired pizza and bubbles to celebrate our long awaited road trip to the regions. On our second day we went to Bouchon which looks understated (we initially drove right past) but it was a wonderful dining experience and we had the best steak ever there. On our third day we went to Scotchman's Hill for lunch and a wine tasting which was memorable for all the right reasons. Our other hot tip...Tagged on to the end of one day we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and beverages at The whiskery!And don't forget to end the day with another walk along the beautiful beach. Gorgeous holiday accommodation and so close to the beach, literally a 1 or 2 minute walk. We chose the perfect place. Clean, beautifully presented with all the amenities we could hope for. The deck, garden and BBQ area was a boon. The gas log fire was a hands-down favourite (along with the Wi-Fi). Will definitely be back.

What a delightful place to stay. Right near the beach. Garden views from the living area. So pretty ❤️ Has everything you need to rest and relax. Highly recommend.

Thanks to our hosts we had a beautiful long weekend stay at Alice's Place for my birthday. We didn't realise just how close we were in walking distance to the beach with sensational views along the coast. Beds were very comfy and kids loved the magazines, games, movies and books. Very cosy accommodation with everything you need already thought of. Our host recommended Oakdene Winery which was wonderful, great meal at Marty's restaurant. Also recommend Chang Noi Thai in main street of Ocean Grove. Thanks, we would love to come back and stay for a week!

What a find! Alice's Palace was the perfect beach getaway.So relaxing and spacious. We could see lots of thought had gone into creating a special space for us to enjoy . We loved how close it was to the beach and river but it is was also great to be able to stay back at Alices's and just chill out on the deck . The kitchen was perfect, clean and well stocked. Shopping and a cafe hit in downtown Ocean Grove and Barwon heads were also popular with the family . We are looking forward to coming back.

We had a great three day stay at Alice’s Palace.It’s a lovely near the beach location with every facility you could possibly want.The property is very clean, comfortable and modern.The owners are very helpful and easy to deal with.I throughly recommend Alice’s Palace for your next beach holiday!

Alice’s palace is Wonderful..amazing beds, well stocked and generous hosts. Close to the beach with the surf club serving up great breakfasts , views and coffee. Highly recommend.
