Avon Suspension Bridge
Simple bridge that is worth getting across as it is also quite accessible. Walk up the hill a bit to the church nearby to look at the building and head back over.

This bridge provides great little experience on how suspension bridges feel. It can be thrilling to cross the bridge, especially when the river below is buzzing. Definitely go and experience it.

Avon Suspension Bridge
This area has been updated recently. There is a large park with playground equipment for kids. There is also a relatively new public bathroom. Nice area for a picnic. I wish there were some eateries nearby for a coffee or snack. For these, you'd have to walk to the main street. The suspension bridge is a novelty. Be careful with your little kids when on the bridge.

Great spot for a family picnic or barbecue. Lots of lawn, a couple of shelters and ample parking. Enjoyed the walk on the bridge.
