Be aware, they do not bulk bill for Children. I'm guessing this is not compulsory for a practise to offer, however most doctors we have been to statewide usually bulk bill for those under 16 or those with concession cards etc? I also thought in 2020 eligibility for higher bulk billing incentives were increased for rural and regional areas like Karratha, so given Karratha is full of young families I find this a little annoying and would have been nice to know prior.

Very clean environment as you walk in, I was greeted by Mel at the front desk who was very pleasant and helpful and was able to book me in the same day. Dr Allison, the podiatrist is absolutely fantastic to deal with, she made my procedure as comfortable as possible going above and beyond to make sure I was ok. Great team and great service thank you.

Three separate appointments here to date and the doctors have been running 30-50 minutes late each time

The following was my experience at the Pilbara Health Centre – had referral emailed thorough a month prior, then called to find out what was happening with the referral, the lady said she could not find it, eventually she found that they had missed the emailed referral. Needed to contact the centre twice to fix the same document for Medicare due to errors. After seeing the clinician, got a confusing call from the centre that they could not take on my referral, again an error apparently. When the clinician left, was given an email to contact to rebook with them and received no response. I would have felt much more respected had I just been told outright they were leaving and were no longer seeing Karratha clients, rather than a dead end. The only reasons I gave three starts were that the admin staff were friendly, clinician was good at their job and fees were very reasonable.

Dr Coker was welcoming, easy to talk with, thorough, knowledgeable and had an easy, respectful manner that helped my child and myself to feel relaxed and welcomed in his clinical room. I felt that my child and I were both listened to and involved in our healthcare; Dr Coker checked in with my child for consent regarding the preferred line of treatment and ensured that they were comfortable and agreeable. Dr Coker then explained everything to us in easy to understand terms so that my child felt comfortable and certain of the prescribed treatment and understood the mechanics of how the medication will work on their body, including likely side effects. It was a bonus that our appointment was bulk billed.The admin staff are friendly and welcoming and the clinic is well set out, providing a comfortable and relaxing healthcare setting. We will continue to see Dr Coker.
