Mount Stilwell walk

Nice hike, steep.

The walk is a short and easy track from Charlotte Pass. Recommended for every visitor.

Lovely walking path on the way to Mount KosciuskoWhat a wonderful place to be at. I summited Mount Kosciusko in April 2023 and totally loved it. Also we stayed on the mountain for a few days with our guide Mike Edmondson and trust me, he’s the best. And he’s an amazing photographer as well. Must visit. Totally loved the nature. Don’t miss the snow gum trees. They are unique to that region.

Beautiful scenery and well maintained track. Great trail for beginners

The hike up was cold and steep. Not too long, as it's only around 2km up to the top. The view was nice, albeit misty.Little did I know that the hike up was to be followed by an absolute nightmare of events on the way down. Countless wolf spider attacks. On my legs, shoulders, bag, neck. No part of my body was safe from these awful creatures. You cannot tell me that God exists when he allows these things to walk the earth. They are relentless and unkillable as they have the ability to teleport from limb to limb as you try helplessly to swat them off. My girlfriend even had one manage to get down the front of her shirt... And that's something I'll never forget.Thankfully I was not bitten, but by the time I got to the car, I wished I had, just so I could save my mind from the sheer trauma of the experience.Otherwise it was nice, quite scenic.
