I have no idea what to expect but it turn out to be so tasty. The dry curry chicken noodles is not the curry you are expecting. Is like chicken stew next level. The prawn and onions fritters is so good and the sauce is really something to die for.

Burmese food is underrated so it's always hard to find a good restaurant. But it's wonderful having Sun nearby. They make delicious food and serve it with a smile. If you've never tried Burmese food, you should! There are rice dishes and noodle dishes, and unique dishes like one made from fermented tea leaves called lahpet thoke that is really nice!I only wish Sun was open more often! I'm writing this review because I'm hungry for lunch and they aren't open now. :) But maybe if more people tried Burmese food...

The food was delicious and authentic. The service was friendly albeit little chaotic due to the crowd. Unfortunately we waited two hours on our visit as it became apparent we wouldn't be able to get a table we chose the takeaway option. It was probably their busiet lunch day on a Sunday. Could do with a few more wait staff and perhaps double their kitchen capacity. So come on a less busy week day I think might be best.

We didn't have a reservation. We went in for Saturday lunch. The staff were super friendly. We ordered the food. It was a long wait between the order and when we received our food, 40 minutes. But it was written on the menu that they were short staffed and if we could bear with them. The food was delicious! The only thing was there was a lot of palm oil in the food, understandable it is traditionally made like that. Would come back again because the food was delicious!

Fantastic food. My great grandmother is from Burma. She used to cook very special chicken curry when I was an infant. I just went back to my childhood when I ate the chicken rural curry with rice here today.

I can't give this place enough praise. So much flavor in so many of the dishes. The Barramundi dish is to die for and perfectly balanced despite the delicate flavors. The dry noodle dish is equally as good and balanced (we have without liver and intestines) but still packed full of flavor. The young girl at the front and looking after the tables does an amazing job!Prices are super cheap for the portion size and quality of the food

The amazing authentic food reminds me of my life in Burma. My family travels nearly 2 hours drive regularly from Wollongong to this great memory lane. It's always busy but it's worth the wait. The popular dishes always run out early for obvious reasons. We enjoy what's on offer in the restaurant plus a few more take away dishes to devour as well. Even my wife's family who are picky with food, they love this place. Thank you for great service and amazing food.

My first time trying Burmese food and I absolutely loved it! The tea leaf salad is so damn good, a must order. It's such a comforting food choice. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but the service and food makes up for it. I don't really see a lot of Burmese restaurants around so the 50 minutes drive was worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sun's Burmese Kitchen, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary journey. This hidden gem offers a tantalizing taste of authentic Burmese cuisine that will leave you craving for more. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the warm and welcoming ambiance made me feel right at home. When it comes to recommendations, the Tea Leaf Salad at Sun's Burmese Kitchen is an absolute must-try. This traditional Burmese dish is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, with the fermented tea leaves adding a unique and addictive tang. The combination of crunchy nuts, crispy beans, and savory dressing creates a delightful symphony of tastes that is both refreshing and satisfying.Another standout dish is the Mohinga, a traditional Burmese fish noodle soup. The rich and flavorful broth, infused with fragrant spices, envelops the silky noodles and tender fish, creating a bowl of pure comfort. Each spoonful is a taste of Burmese culinary heritage that will transport your senses to the bustling streets of Myanmar. For a satisfying main course, I highly recommend the Chicken Curry. The tender chicken pieces simmered in a fragrant blend of spices create a dish that is both comforting and deeply flavorful. Paired with a side of steamed rice, it's a true delight for the palate.Sun's Burmese Kitchen not only delivers exceptional food but also provides friendly and attentive service that enhances the overall dining experience. The staff is passionate about sharing the flavors of Burma and are happy to guide you through the menu, ensuring you have a memorable culinary adventure. If you're seeking a unique and flavorsome dining experience, look no further than Sun's Burmese Kitchen. Very homely vibe with Lovley interiors. The food mild and wholesome, and vetted 'authentic' by my Burmese friend. Make sure you get a nice balance between rice, noodles, soup and entrees :)
