Poor quality of product and even worse service when it breaks. Fix it until the warranty is up must be their moto

We had great service when we were spending $$$$ on engagement and wedding rings... after sales support with their lifetime care plan is absolutely shocking. Clearly staff are paid commission, so the time they have to spend on cleaning and organising for rings to be sent away is time they aren't able to sell anything and make commission. If only they all wore name badges I'd name the two rude women I unfortunately had to deal with today. It seems only the nice staff wear name badges... for good reason I think!

I took my bridal set in to get it 6 monthly clean and check done just over a month ago now, when I got home the same day I got it done I realised that my engagement ring was bent!! I took it back straight away and Samatha was the one that cleaned my ring so I told her that my ring was not like this before and she told me that we wouldn’t have done that maybe I just didn’t she it before!! But if that was the case why did she write on my care plan that everything was okay with the ring when she gave it back to me!! What a joke they completely lied and tried to put it all back on me!! They then sent it off to get the bend fixed. Went to pick it up which they calmed was fixed to find that my ring still had a bend in it and they were handing it back to me like they didn’t even notice it aswell was sooo wrong and completely unprofessional and this was with the store manager aswell Angela. Angela then offered me a whole new bridal set which was in store but when I had a look at it was completely off colour in one part of the ring and I told her that and she wouldnt believe me and blamed it on the lighting in store!! I took a photo of the difference in colour with my old ring and took it to get a second opinion at a different Michael hill store and she notice the discolouring straight away and it was on a photo!! They then sent the rings off to get resized and they came back in store to pick up and then when Angela was handing us the new ringsI then notice that the wedding band was missing a diamond!! She was like I checked this yesterday and it was there but she couldn’t even find the diamond on the table if it happened there and then! So once again another lie.. overall they didn’t even apologise when we picked it up again after them sending it off AGAIN to get another diamond put in! Angela just handed me the ring and didn’t say anything! Overall my experience at the morayfield Micheal hill store was very very disappointing they are very unprofessional and lie to get whatever they need out of you and to make you feel like they are looking after when clearly they aren’t!! Very disappointed with how they handle my bridal ring set, like I don’t have my original set because they did something wrong while cleaning it!! Worst service EVER!! Will never go back to this store ever again

My teenage son and I were served by the most friendly lovely lady today who could not help enough! She fixed my sons broken chain and helped pick out a gift within our budget. She is a credit to the store!

Waited 10 minutes to get spoken to and when the lady finally spoke to me she was rude and made me feel more like a pest than anything else. The other lady that took over from her was very nice however didn't follow threw with contacting me about my care plan I needed the number for. Probably going to stick to the north lakes store, they're a lot more help.

My wife only likes to wear Michael hill jewelry as she loves the quality. This afternoon she felt disgusted by the way she was made to feel by a staff member when she went into the the store this , to exchange a rose gold diamond ring I had purchased her for Christmas. I was told by the lady that served me, that if my wife didn't like the rose gold and preferred yellow gold or if it didnt fit that she could bring it back and get one made in her size and in yellow gold. However on returning the ring she was rudely told that they can't make it to her size and that they can't order one in as it's a discontinued line. My wife was very disappointed as was I and i would not have purchased if that was the case. So she ended up picking out another ring instead and decided to ask the lady to get her diamond earrings cleaned while she was there, to be told by the rude lady that they can't grade them as they are only cubic zirconia. My wife argued that they are real diamonds and until the lady looked at them closely she didn't believe my wife as she thought they were the same as some other pair of cubic zirconia earrings that they sold.Very unprofessional from my point of view and unsure whether I will continue buying my wife jewelry from this store

I went in here for some help getting a necklace fixed (just a link for a pendant) and also to order a custom wedding ring for my fiance. The lady at the counter who was wearing glasses was very rude and judgmental. I didn't even get the chance to ask about the wedding ring. She said after looking me up and down and I'm guessing making a judgment call that I had no money and that if it isn't a micheal hill jewelery piece she would not fix it. If she had of given me a chance she would have realised that I work in oil and gas and have quite enough to spend on jewelery specially a wedding ring. Never shopping there again.

Went in to get my son's link to his chain fixed, got a text a week an a half later saying to pick up went in to find out it was not fixed so they apologized an said that they would send it back with URGENT, so I waited another week an a half to receive it back. The link that was replaced was bent an still not fixed an to be told that I would need to be careful because it's very fragile. I just find them VERY unprofessional, I will never be going back there again.

Very disappointed in the quality of the Jewellery.Bought a $200 necklace in Jan 2023 and it has broken twice in 5 months. They have repaired it under warranty both times. Only thing is im not happy with the quality and they wont exchange or credit me the piece that keeps breaking, they said they can just keep repairing it for 12 months under warranty. What happens after 12 months to bad to sad?. I definitely went in wanting this to be a long term piece of Jewellery from my partner. I understand the chain is thin (which was not explained to me upon perchase), but it shouldnt break this easily when i only wear it to work and i sit at a desk. Extremely dissapointed in Michael Hill.
