Norma's Caringbah Laundrette

Today i was caring for an elderly lady who has a disability, her washing machine broke so she needed her bed clothes washed and dryed. NOT TO BE FOLDED OR IRONED JUST WASHED AND DRYED.Left her washing in to Normas laundromat in Careingbah.. not told of price but that she was under pressure and may take longer to do.(NORMA) the owner was NOT there when i went back to collect it. Some woman who couldnt speak english said $80!!!!! Now this is were it gets bad, it wasnt even written on the invoice/receipt she just said it was $80!!!!!!!!!To my shock horror as most laundrettes for this amount of clothing with a max of 2hours service would usually be in around $25-$40 depending on how much there rates are. So i had $40 as Maria is a pensioner and doesnt hold that kind of money. I explained that we will be back to pay the rest.. to the woman who couldnt speak English.......I received a lovely text from Norma first of all stating the price and being lovely to then.... numerous voicemails and texts of abuse, calling police etc all of the extremeties.. i called back to say my client will be in at 10am and pay the rest (as i had previously explained to the person working) from then, my client went in early this morning to pay and she left in tears!!!! Norma belittled her, TRIED TO TAKE PICTURES OF HER!!!! Now, my client is disabled and this is just crazy to think of someone treating her like this when all she wanted to do was pay the rediculous over priced washing!!!!!!Norma is the most unprofessional woman i have ever had to endear. I just had to write a review to warn others before they are ROBBED BY HER AND TREATED THE SAME WAY!!!!

Norma is the most professional person who’s always been polite, honest and reliable. On the other hand, her husband John is a rude, horrible, cynical man. I had my clothes washed / dry cleaned by Norma’s Laundry for the last 12 months. I spent approximately $200-300 a week in laundry for my household. I just went to take in my bags of washing and John refused service because I owed “$8.90”. Unbelievable.

Norma always does a great job and is incredibly helpful and communicative! She offers value for the work she does. I visit her for dry cleaning and clothes alterations. Recommend :)
