Cluey Learning

I paid for two trial sessions, one tutor did not turn up. We went with the tutor that did turn up and my child enjoyed her sessions for a few weeks. Cluey suddenly changed tutor and I was not happy with their choice, especially when the cost of each session is $80. I emailed back (several times) about other tutor options and received no response and then tried to call unable to get through. I decided to cancel the sessions, however, that same day they took money for the following weeks session. After calling several times I finally spoke to someone and after a long conversation where he tried to convince me to continue I asked for a refund of the session and he said he would organise this. Didn't receive any refund. I have tried several times to call back to discuss this but can't get through, always busy. Overall all it was an expensive and frustrating experience.

We have been very impressed with the Cluey learning experience so far. My daughter has enjoyed all her lessons and her tutors. I believe that they have matched her well with the tutors which is a nice touch as it means my daughter feels more comfortable and looks forward to her lessons. We also enjoy getting the detailed feedback report at the end of the lesson this makes me feel more confident in understanding what they are learning and what they cover in each lesson. Also the convenience of online and being able to pause/swap day/tutors if things change is another big win for me. Thanks Cluey Learning.

Cluey teachers I must say are really good but the customer service is pathetic. At times we have sent them e mails regarding our daughter’s class etc and have to date not received a single reply. We skipped a class way in advance this week and thought Cluey would respond to our request instead it took money off our card although we had cancelled that week’s class way ahead of time. We called up the 0800 number but it’s all automated. No one answers calls.You do is keep selecting the options with no solution to your problem. This company should not be allowed to operate.Please sort your customer services out Cluey it’s appalling!!!!!

From providing the services that they promote Cluey Learning has definitely been beneficial in supporting my child in NCEA Level 1 Maths. The tutors have been excellent in helping her understand and cement the concepts she has been struggling with. It has been well worth the investment.What has frustrated me is the inability to contact the administrative side directly. It is almost impossible to speak to someone with any query. The menu options that are given via the phone continually take you back to the website. There is the option to email however that is not responded too directly.Overall I would definitely recommend Cluey for Maths learning support.

Started off well with the first session. Thereafter tutor didn’t turn up. We would book make up sessions and still a no show. The number of no shows and change in tutor was enough for me to cancel our subscription. There was no consistency and not the service we had been sold. Some work needs to be done around retaining reliable tutors. Their unreliability is unfortunately letting your company down.

Offered and sold us a great experience that could meet our needs, but then when it came to the crunch their systems were unable to fulfil the schedule that we’d been sold. The ‘workaround’ was to phone up after every lesson to cancel the recurring weekly lesson and rebook the next day, and in doing so there was no guarantee you’d get the same tutor. Since then, I’ve been promised twice and never received a refund for the trial lessons that we never took because of the disjointed booking process. My advice: stay well clear, find a local tutor.

We have found that our Daughters math results have come along in leaps and bounds since starting one on one tutoring with Cluey. The one on one aspect shows the areas she is struggling in and gives her the confidence to ask questions/for help - something she has historically found difficult in a classroom in front of her peers.The new found understanding of math functions and formulas has meant that there has been increased confidence and learning within the classroom as well.

My son has been matched with a great tutor, Eli. They connect well and I think online has been a much better option for us. Definitely recommend.

I am having the most appalling experience trying to speak to someone at Cluey after signing my child up to two trial sessions. We keep being advised of tutor changes via no-reply texts and no-reply emails (before we've even had our first session). We have some specific needs that need consideration, but other than the very attentive initial sales call when we signed up, there is no way to now get in touch with a human being at Cluey! After continuously being redirected to their online portal via their automated phone system, I resorted to phoning the 0800 number from my husband's phone, so the Cluey system wouldn't recognise my number as an existing client and therefore give me the option of speaking to the sales team! Once put through to the sale team I spoke to a very helpful accunt manager and thought we had our situation resolved, only to receive another text and email hours later, advising of yet another tutor change and now I'm back to square one - not being able to speak to someone about it, as my phone number is recogised as an existing client number and therefore I just get redirected to the portal!!! Unbelievebly frustrating and terrible customer service. My husband is unfortunately out and therefore I can't try to trick" their system again by calling on his number to reach a human. Cluey - I had high hopes but the post sales experience has been atrocious! You have a very fancy online self-help site

Our son loves Cluey Learning. He did the 2-week trial to get a feel for it but straight after the first lesson he’d made up his mind. He loved it. He has great rapport with his tutor, Andrew, and looks forward to his Monday night lesson. The Cluey platform is easy to use and it’s great not needing to leave the house to attend tutoring. The lessons are well structured but there’s flexibility to gain support on topics that are happening that week at school. It would be good to have a few exercises to continue with between the weekly lesson but I’m sure that’s just a matter of seeing if that’s possible. We haven’t explored that yet. All in all, Cluey is working well for us.
