I had an amazing experience at Lounge and Co Ormiston. I had a horrible experience at a previous salon and the lovely stylist fixed me up and worked wonders. So very happy and will be returning.

tldr: Do not recommend. They convinced my daughter to spend $800 and refused to acknowledge any responsibility for engaging in unfair business practice.My 15 year old daughter booked a balayage online and was expecting to pay around $250-$300 for her appointment. The online confirmation implied that Olaplex treatment was included with the cost. When she went in for the appointment, the hairdresser sat with her and talked through what would happen. My daughter was convinced to have extra work done and was also upsold products. The total for the appointment was over $800!Feeling pressured, my daughter felt like she had no choice but to go through with the appointment. She had already paid a $50 deposit and felt very intimidated in that setting. She was too embarrassed to walk out so went along with it. Not only was she convinced to spend a ridiculous amount of money, the hairdresser put the wrong colour in her hair and also got dye on her school blouse.When she told me about it I contacted the hairdresser and spoke with the manager. I spoke with her initially and explained that, due to my daughters age, she was unable to consent to the huge cost increase under the circumstances. She was pressured and overwhelmed by the excitement generated by the staff. She was taken advantage of, due to her age, and was encouraged and ultimately convinced to spend three times the amount she had initially intended. She said she would look into it and get back to me. Instead she tried to contact my daughter, while she was at school, to arrange for her to come in to fix her hair and organise the uniform replacement. I can only assume this was done because the manager was again seeking to take advantage of my daughters age.I rang her back and told her that it was hugely inappropriate to contact my child under the circumstances. She was rude and dismissive. I reiterated that my daughters was unable to consent and that it is unconscionable conduct to target consumers who are too young to make informed decisions. The manager conceded that she should have contacted a parent to discuss this but kept repeating that my daughter agreed, so that Lounge and Co did not have to refund any money. This included the products that my daughter was sold that were used only once, and could easily have been used in the salon. She did agree to replace the blouse, but strangely insisted that I give them the damaged one, which I happily did, as it was ruined.

EXPENSIVE. Quotes were inconsistent, received half the amount of foils I would usually get when getting full head of foils or back to back foils they referred to it as. It did not feel like they left the foils in long enough. They had to tone my hair twice in 1 sitting, with the 2nd toner being a leave in toner for me to go home with it in as the hair dresser was cleary not satisfied with the result herself. Usually I'm at hair dressers for full head of foils + trim & treatment for more than 4hrs, and I was there for approx 3hrs. It was very rushed. It looked ok in the Salon with dim lights at night but after going into natural light it was very streaky looking. I cancelled my next appt well before the 48hrs cancellation policy and they did not refund my $50 deposit. Worse experience I've had and will not recommend them. What is the point of a 48hr cancellation policy if you still don't pay back the $50 deposit if you gave more notice than 48hrs. Failing to mention it was $550approx for full head, colour and olaplex etc. Ive never paid this much before ever and feel a fool for doing so.In response to your response below, your best efforts to resolve the situation would be to return the $50 as this was never cleary communicated and mislead into thinking this was a refundable $50 by avoiding saying this all together and just mentioning you have a 48hr cancellation policy when asked to make the $50. Very sneaky.

Amazing service from the whole crew!Walked in and was immediately pampered. Down to earth staff who don't try pushy sales tactics, just educate you on what's available.Nadia did an amazing job with my cut. She was very thoughtful and talked me through her whole process.The only thing I would like to see better is the online menu. As a hair novice, it was a bit difficult to decipher the treatments without the descriptions. But honestly the whole experience was divine!!Thanks team!

I have been coming to The Lounge and co for over 3 years now and have always been extremely happy with my result. My hair has never been this healthy and they always listen to my needs. The service is also amazing! With coffee and treats everytime. They also take time at the basin to make the experience even more relaxing! Thank you team- I love your work!

I have been going to Lounge and Co Ormiston since I moved to the area (about 18 months). The team is always so lovely and so accomodating. Some times I go in with no idea of what I want and Candice will always do something that looks great for me. Other times I will go in with a photo of something I want and she will do it exactly but with enhancements that work for my face and colouring. Candice is a very talented hairdresser. Also, every time I go, I see her up-skilling and supporting her team which I love to see. 11/10.

I loved my visit to the lounge.I had been having problems for a while with dry porous hair and it had started falling out.Mikayla was really great and so professional talking me through my problem and finding solutions.If you want fabulous hair I would definitely go to the lounge.

Amazing experience with Mikayla from the Ormiston Store.Mikayla went above and beyond during my time in her chair. I felt very relaxed, at ease and blown away with my hair style.Mikayla also gave me some fantastic advice on caring for my hair. Her knowledge and gentle yet outgoing nature made me instantly feel valued.Be sure to ask for Mikayla when you book your appt. You won't be disappointed.
