Cover-More Travel Insurance
Before taking out travel insurance with Covermore, look very carefully at the policy document. The company will seek every possible avenue to avoid paying a claim. My experience is that it is a rapacious and unsympathetic insurer, using any hidden legal loophole to avoid its responsibilities. Any lingering compassion is confined to its multitude of excuses and promotional material. The recent incident of Kylie Enwright, where ordinary Australians pick up the costs that Covermore refuses, is a typical case in point.

If I could give this company 0 stars and still write this review, I would! The worst travel insurance company..I have now waited 4 months to get any resolution on our claim, and still waiting. My advice DO NOT USE THEM!! They have you going around in circles resubmitting documents which have been already supplied, then pretend they still didn't receive them. So frustrating and incompetent. Escalation process has you still waiting 6 to 8 weeks for any callback...its a joke!

SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY!This company is still one of the obvious underperforming and not sure why they are still allowed to provide services.Systematically tries to frustate you to forget your claim.Submitted a claim for missing luggage on 21/11/22 and till date 26/1/23 still waiting for an outcome from a non existing claims officer who turns out from follow up calls to be multiple people.The most frustrating is , you are told not to send a follow-up email or correspondence hence you go back to start of que of emails to be attended to , approximately (35 WORKING DAYS)I can go on and on but seriously these guys will make you go on blood pressure tablets.

Don't bother with covermore. We have used them 10 times now and never had to make a claim.When we had to make a claim due to P&O changing their docking times last minute we were out of pocket over $1000 due to having to change flights.We lodged a claim with covermore and it took 6 weeks to get a reply. They claimed because of covid.In the end they only covered some of my wife's ticket so we are still $700 out of pocket. I will never use covermore again. Taking 6 weeks to reply to a simple claim is extremely poor service.

Terrible company.Commonwealth bank travel insurance should be ashamed to be using Cover-More. They do not value customers or take any effort in treating them in a timely and precise way. Expect to be on hold for hours+ every time without receiving resolutions.Definitely DO NOT use them for travel insurance directly.

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Commonwealth Bank should hang their heads in shame being associated with this company. They delay processing your claim, keep asking for additional documents and then tell you your claim is denied anyway, even if your situation is listed under the claim benefits. I presume they hope that most people will give up out of sheer frustration. I wish that I had read these reviews before I went on holiday but trusted my bank to be linked to a reputable insurance company!

Cover-More Travel Insurance
I had a policy that cover 5 people and I wanted to remove 2 people 4 weeks before the holiday.I was informed they cannot do this and I would have to cancel my policy and take out a new one. I said I was not interested in getting a refund for those 2 people I just wanted them off the policy. They still said no.Also, they informed me that if I cancelled the policy and take out a new one it would take 14 weeks for the first policy to be refunded into my bank account (I was told verbally the refund would be $199 but once I received the cancellation certificate the refund was only $60) So why does it take 14 weeks for the refund? This is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! It does not take 14 weeks to issue a refund! So I cancelled the policy and went to another company where I received twice the cover for 1/3 the price. This company has been added to my banned list of companies (yes, I have a list of companies that I will never use again)

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Dodge-a-rama of an insurance company. Other people have already commented on the fact that Covermore must have a policy of prolonging their entire claims process to wear down those who have legitimate claims.As for my experience, it seemed too good to be true.Lodged my claim online and 4 weeks later, it was approved. I checked my original claim submitted with remittance advice I was sent and can confirm nominated bank details I provided are correct. I had to contact them 10 business days later only for Covermore's team to say that funds were returned to them and that this just happens even if details are correct sometimes". Is there a massive failure in Australia's banking system that needs to be addressed here then? How can funds not get to the intended recipient if details provided are correct? Anyhow

Cover-More Travel Insurance
By far the worst customer service and travel insurance I have ever experienced (am an avid traveler). They are non compliant to the Australian insurance code on multiple items, never answer emails, refuse to pass on information to raise a dispute (they're obligated to do this) and took almost 50 business days to reach a decision regarding my straight forward claim where all documentation was initially included. The only push for them to finalise the claim was because I threatened to report them to the ombudsman. Do yourself a favour and don't engage with this company! Also be careful as they are affiliated with medibank - so be sure not to arrange your travel insurance through them.

Cover-More Travel Insurance
Absolutely awful insurance company.Insurance is worthless. We bought their line cover, International Comprehensive +, and it didn’t even cover meals during our 48hr delay. Certainly didn’t cover flights we had to rebook.Any flight delays due to ‘operational requirements’ are not covered. And they took over 2.5 months to give a decision on the claim to boot.Save your money, go elsewhere.
