Denali Dog Training

Robin has been such great help in setting a plan for our German shepherd to settle well with our new baby. Our one year old GSD was too excited and anxious around the newborn and we were at our bits end as to what to do . Robin was so good, she took out time at the earliest to help us with the situation. She is so very professional and dedicated that her training helped us right from day one. We had a long training session where she guides us to train our dog to be calm around the baby, she also trained the dog to be really calm during the session. She has put together a plan for us to keep encouraging the calm behaviour and train the dog to settle with the baby. The plan has been very successful.

I got a new dog and wanted help to get him off to the right start as he needed to be well enough behaved to still enable me to work from home. I called Denali Dog Training based on the number of positive online reviews, and at first I was surprised by the cost until I discovered it was well below what some other similar services cost, and realised that it included a whole day of practical teaching of skills. Much of the day was about teaching me how to train my dog, both through explanation and demonstration. I felt that Robin was extremely generous with her time, and she gave detailed written explanation for everything she had said while at my premises. She was able to explain the reasons why she felt forceful methods of training are less effective, and give positive approach replacements. I would not hesitate to recommend her for her thorough knowledge of numerous behavioural techniques and practical ways to teach them.

Robin is very knowledgeable and experienced. She's very helpful, caring and professional and always, always puts the welfare of the dog first. Robin is kind, honest and dedicated and has a natural way with animals, easily building a rapport with even our most hesitant of trauma affected dogs. We've had Robin come to our property on multiple occasions to temperament assess our puppies as well as their parents so that the right puppy can be matched to the right family and the right home wherever possible.

I went to a training session with my dog Bella on sunday with Robyn Bella is dog aggressive and the 4 other dogs there were the same, Robyn had total control at all times of the dogs and the owners and managed to keep everyone safe, we were taught the way that positive reward works and it does. Robyn is fantastic at what she does and she knows her stuff, I would not trust anyone other than Robyn to help me with my dog as she understands Bella. Thank you Robyn for a fantastic time on sunday it was well worth the trip and both of us will see you again on sunday and we're looking forward to it.

Robin helped us with our rescue red heeler cross as Millie was reactive to other dogs. We signed up for the reactive dogs sessions on Sundays and we've noticed a big change in Millie, we are now able to take her on walks with the family without stressing about encountering other dogs. We learned so much from her sessions; every dog attending had the chance to practice BAT, recall and other techniques in a safe environment. Thanks so much for your help Robin!
