We loved our stay here. Beautiful camp sites, loads of animals, friendly caretaker, amenities were spotless!Tips. Pick up firewood before you go from roadside vendors $10 a bag as there is no collecting wood.Go midweek as long weekends, school holidays are very busy.Only telstra reception at the office available so enjoy the time off your phone. Please pick up your dog poo as we encountered some large droppings left behind by lazy dog owners.

I booked unpowered no shower camping so I would be alone to recoup by my self. They only told me when I arrived it wasn't available. Rude older people and small yapping dogs everywhere when all I needed was peace for two whole nights. Very dissatisfied and will not be back.

I photographed Danielle & Dan's wedding at Gordon Country last month and highly recommend it for a wedding venue. Nestled in amongst the majestic grass trees and eucalypts characterising the landscape of the Glen Rock State Forest, the barn and surrounds are immaculately kept. I was impressed.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gordon Country, and I must say, it surpassed all my expectations. From the exceptionally friendly staff to their proactive approach towards repairs and the enchanting sightings of Highland cattle, Gordon Country truly offers an unrivaled experience for nature enthusiasts and campers alike. What sets Gordon Country apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the staff. Throughout my stay, they were always readily available to assist with any queries or concerns, going above and beyond to ensure every guest had a memorable time. Their friendly and approachable demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.Gordon Country takes immense pride in maintaining its grounds and facilities to the highest standards. The owners' commitment to proactive repairs is truly commendable. They actively address any issues that arise, promptly attending to maintenance needs and ensuring the entire property is kept in impeccable condition. Notably, the repairs made on the main road leading to all the sites showcased their attention to detail and dedication to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all visitors.During my stay at Gordon Country, I was fortunate to witness the majestic Highland cattle, a rare and awe-inspiring sight. It was a unique opportunity to appreciate the beauty of these magnificent creatures up close. The presence of such captivating wildlife further accentuated the natural splendor that surrounds the property, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. The camping sites at Gordon Country are designed with spaciousness and privacy in mind. Each site is well spread out, ensuring ample room for groups to set up camp and create their own little haven amidst nature. The generous amount of space between sites allows for a peaceful and undisturbed camping experience, fostering a sense of serenity and relaxation. While my overall experience at Gordon Country was exceptional, there was a minor downside that I encountered. On a few occasions, some inconsiderate campers arrived late at night, disrupting the peace and tranquility with their brightly lit LED setups and blaring country music until the early hours of the morning. Although this issue is beyond the control of the owners, I believe implementing a check-in lockout policy could be beneficial in curbing such disturbances, ensuring that all guests can enjoy a peaceful night's rest.Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that the owners of Gordon Country have been proactive in addressing and maintaining the aspects within their control. The commitment to safety standards, cleanliness, and regular upkeep of the grounds is evident throughout the property. This dedication ensures that guests can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of nature without any unnecessary worries or concerns. It is worth noting that Gordon Country is also home to a vibrant and friendly wildlife community, including kookaburras and possums. However, due to the habituation caused by people feeding them, it is necessary to exercise caution when handling and storing food. To avoid any unexpected encounters, it is highly recommended to pack away all food securely at night. By being vigilant and respecting the wildlife, visitors can coexist harmoniously with these charming creatures and prevent any little muddy prints from appearing around their campsites. In conclusion, Gordon Country offers an unforgettable camping experience set amidst nature's splendor. With its genuinely friendly staff, proactive approach to repairs, and mesmerizing sightings of Highland cattle, this destination truly stands out. While occasional disturbances from inconsiderate campers may occur, the owners' commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards is commendable. Prepare to be enchanted by the wildlife and ensure the protection of your food from friendly foragers. I wholeheartedly recommend Gordon Country to anyone seeking a truly immersive and rejuvenating nature getaway.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel it’s really important if you’re travelling a fair distance to stay here that you are aware of what you’re in for. As the other reviews state this place is very bogan ! The first night my children were awake scared because of some lunatic walking around the tents screaming and shouting at 3am and you can expect to here ute’s coming and going until 4am. My 7 year old son was playing with his friends at the rope swing when the a boy who claimed to be the owners nephew came over calling them pussy’s and proceeded to pick a stick up and burn my son on the leg telling him he can’t tell anyone because he’s the owners nephew and will get him thrown off in a flash . My son was terrified he would have to leave .I definitely wouldn’t say it’s ideal for family’s . The glamping tents are from from glam you can absolutely expect rats / bandicoots running around the tent we were woken up to 3 and one climbing on my sons bed while he slept . The place is very picturesque but unfortunately that was our first and last visit .
