I had literally amazing time with my friends. all dishes from starters to dessert were great. Sharing starters with wine made me mouthwatering. Steak and cauliflower as main were creative and delicious. lots of cocktail, beer and wine were brilliant. Guilty free vegan chocolate mousse and pineapple carpaccio made with rum were amazing. I’ll definitely visit back alala’s.

Beautiful menu with fresh plates and amazing cocktails. The smashed pea tartine with pancetta & the porchetta are my favourites. Rotisserie with take away option open till late!

I have been to this place for a couple of times now, the taste of food is really amazing. Best food in Sydney. Host and floor staffs really make you feel special throughout your dining. The best part is the exclusive wines. The floor staffs have good knowledge on wine and will help to choose the one that goes best with your choice of food. I will be back soon for sure! I really love Fig Tartine and Watermelon Salad!

This airy and light environment is a step above your usual pub dining! It’s a welcoming space and great for a catch up for families and friends. It’s located in the Oaks Hotel. The kitchen is run by Julian Nikiel and brought a refreshing take to brunch. They offered a Bottomless Brunch Menu which is a shared banquet which includes smaller and larger bites as well as a dessert each. The package included a choice of flowing wines or for an additional cost they offer mimosas or prosecco. We begun with House Marinated Olives and Jamon Croquettas With Mojo Rojo. I especially enjoyed the croquettas which were brilliantly crisp on the outside with a soft flavoursome filling. The sauce was a lovely accompaniment. We continued with plump Scallops On The Shell with chorizo spice, finger lime, and lobster oil. They were cooked well and fitted well for a light spring menu. There was a bowl of Fries to share which were sprinkled with a sensational celery salt. You wouldn’t think a flavoured salt would get everyone excited but our group couldn’t stop raving about it! It was served with aioli. A pair of Tartines came up next. They are French open faced sandwiches. The duo included one that had asparagus, peas, baked ricotta, and lemon myrtle. This had a fresh vibrant look and tasted really light. Really nice flavours. My favourite was the other one which had pumpkin hummus, zucchini, and almonds which considering I’m not a pumpkin fans says a lot. It was sweet and creamy with lots of textural elements which I loved. We finished off with a choice of Crumpets. I had the chocolate one that was topped with maple butter, banana, and cocoa nibs. It was served with a little syrup on top but think it could do with some more as thicker than your usual crumpet. The other one was a vegan option that was served with coconut sorbet and macerated strawberries. The presentation was lovely however the sorbet melted a bit was might be better off served separately. The a la carte menu options are better than your usual pub grub. As we were quite hungry we decided to get a few options to share. The Wagyu Bresaola was packed full of flavour topped with grapefruit, rosemary honey, and caperberry. I loved the combination of flavours. For a more decadent entree, they had a Baked Camembert with jamon and served with herbs and grilled sourdough. Perfect for a naughty indulgence, it was creamy, gooey, and oh so moreish. The Spiced Pear was served with dates, pistachio, and rosewater. I didn’t try any but the other members of the party commented it was on point and delicious.A great place to gather and with a relaxed atmosphere and great service to boot, this would be a great way to spend a weekend!

I loved the menu. The layout and food gave me a ladies sex in the city" Manhattan vibe. Definately try the chicken terrine and jamon croquettas! Went there for the open (perfect!)

I was a bit disappointed to be honest. Really nice entrees but they had run out of the mains special during the first sitting, and ran out of the wine we selected after one bottle. Selected the flatiron steak medium rare and it arrived medium rare but cold and chewy with a sad, grey half ‘hassle back potato’ on the side. Service was pleasant but slow. Look, not bad but after reading the reviews I would have expected a bit more of a professionally run outfit. And given The Oaks history, I would have expected a MUCH better steak.
