The Pole Room Melbourne CBD

Hello everyone. I’m speaking on behalf of my husband who came here for some pole dancing play. In spite of the glowing reviews, his experience is a minority that many will over look. That is your prerogative but it deserves to be heard. Anyways, I recall the first session he told me was fantastic but didn’t like Laura who was pushing for long term clients instead of his modest commitment to fortnightly to monthly practice sessions. I had a feeling this wasn’t the right place but I allowed him the benefit of the doubt to keep going since he desperately wanted to pole dance again. As sessions progressed on, the complaints of poor customer service and poor staff behaviour began to crop up in our private home. He told me Jake was an absolute ‘d-head’ for bullying him on the phone when my husband asked about beginner’s pizza night, as if he wasn’t gonna let him be invited since he wasn’t participating in the beginner courses. I thought that was a bit much for someone who appears to be flamboyant and friendly with ‘hey babes’ to other dancers. Al was very rude in raining on his parade when he was practicing with multiple poles in preparation for the end of term showcase as we’d seen together at the previous end of term showcase several dancers use several poles for their performances. Like, how was my husband supposed to practice his routine when he’s not allowed to. I told him enough was enough. It almost became a sign when he wasn’t able to book anymore sessions on his phone, in which he complained to the staff about. This space wasn’t safe for him to express himself. He attended his last session, refusing to say hello to any of the staff for the ordeal they put him through. After one quick dance, he ended it there, knowing no more time and money shall be spent on making him feel unworthy, belittled and bullied by the staff at the CBD Pole Room. We had high hopes for this venue especially since my husband hadn’t be able to do pole dancing in a while. It is such a shame Laura, Jake and Al were just terrible in making people like my husband feel comfortable in expressing themselves here. Shame on you.P.S. After posting this review, my husband has been receiving phone calls from the Pole Room and we are not answering them. We don’t know what it is about but it is most likely that this review is affecting their business. Tough luck. You should have have taught your customer service team better manners before you burned your customers. Stop calling us or you’ll be hearing from our lawyers.

A group of us booked the deluxe party package. We had so much fun. Jake the manager was so friendly & made us all feel so comfortable straight away. Our instructor was absolutely amazing. So talented & friendly.

All the classes I've attended have been great, the teachers explain everything well and make it fun.My favourite class is pole conditioning, a great full body workout. I loved that we incorporated the pole into the work out- definitely feeling conditioned and ready for my next pole class!

I have been dancing with TPR since 2018 and have felt nothing but support and appreciation from the staff and polers alike.Incredible resilience as a business throughout the Melbourne Lockdowns and they were quick to support students with a whole new online platform that features classes both live and recorded.Becoming a pole dancer has been the best decision for my mental and physical health. Not only has my strength and fitness improved but my creative juices are always flowing as I learn knew ways to piece tricks together. I started as a beginner at TPR and am now training at an advanced level!!Come to The Pole Room at Melbourne CBD if you are thinking about trying a class, you wont regret it!!

I started pole classes this year and have absolutely loved every hour. It is like a playground for adults. I read the 1 star review and completely disagree. Jake the receptionist's hey babes" makes my day every time I enter and really brings home the friendly and supportive all inclusive vibe that makes the studio great. Also Jake sorts and fixes all my pole related problems couldn't ask for more....In conclusion join me!!!"
