Very I interesting Lady. The old house was full of memorabilia and lots of local craft n goods on sale. Cafe with outdoor seating under the shade tree.

Melba House is open by volunteers. The actual house is an absolute delight to visit. Dame Nellie Melba was certainly a true Australian icon, and by seeing where she grew up is very unique. The videos and artifacts from that era are something for all generations to see.However, the visitor center connected to the Melba House is a dismal disappointment, should you wish to have a coffee or a bite to eat you can't get anything from 12:30 onwards.... So take a thermos a packed lunch or drive a little further down the road to be ripped off by exorbitant prices for food.

A quaint little house, once Melba's home when her husband managed the local sugar refinery. Very helpful Visitor Information person who gave us some lovely maps.

Very attractive area. Very tasty food available for purchase. Lots of information available about the area and its history as well as current events happening. Staff very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
