Clipz Hair Design

I have been going to Clipz Hair Design since they opened. The ladies are all very professional and are full of knowledge.I love going in to get my hair done every 6 weeks, they make everyone feel welcome and important.

My complaint pertains to an overall disappointment with both the service offered and the poor resolution by management of my recent hair re-style.What I requestedI was coming in for my first haircut in 9 years after nourishing my hair to the healthiest it had ever been. I chose the salon as I had previously been very happy with the services of a previous hairdresser who I had seen many years before, and felt that their presence of Facebook was enough to warrant another try. I also wanted something special done for my 40th birthday present to myself and waxing services. I was expressly specific about what I was wanting but, I did not bring in a photo of my expectations, which I now regret.What I receivedThe ladies at the salon were lovely, even adhering to the fact I was running 30 minutes late. What I did not realise, is that I had an inexperienced hairdresser following advice from the owner.She started with the waxing, which I thought went ok. The technique was not at all adequate, but I did not notice until I had gotten home the parts she had missed.The hair treatment was too heavy for my virgin hair, and the outcome turned it frizzy.The haircut of just the ends cuts and slight layering was not done with the correct technique.This I did not realise until the following day when the special bouncy curls I was wanting for my birthday celebrations had not lasted very long, due to the weight of my extra-long hair, despite being careful to not brush my hair.How it was resolvedMy husband and I both communicated with the salon that I was disappointed. I did not realise at the time about the curls, until after these calls, which was when they were almost gone. The owner gave me a call, and was initially reluctant to offer a refund, but did eventually agree to refunding a portion of the premium prices I had paid, which we had to do so in person.The subsequent day I attended the salon, now fully aware of the many errors that I had experienced, and was willing to fully discuss my grievances in person, as I was told that they take this kind of thing seriously. Unfortunately with the salon being busy, I was rushed out the door with my complaint left not fully heard, with a bag of money (about ¼ of what I had paid) and a free sample, being told they hoped to see me again.Why the reviewThe salon charges premium prices for standard hairdressing. Although I don’t doubt that they attend to their regular clientele with good service, in my particular circumstances, the experience overall was very disheartening on what was a big milestone in my life.I enjoyed my experience there, but the service during and after the experience were not at all enjoyable, and I am still left feeling let down.

Finally a hair dresser who listened and heard me. David cut and coloured my hair beautifully. His colour advice was excellent. I would definitely recommend this salon. A++++++

Staff were timely for my appointment. Hair wash, cut and blow wave were very good. However I was disappointed that although I am on the aged pension they would not give me a pensioner discount they said because it was Saturday. The salon I usually attend in Melbourne gives a pensioner discount Monday-Saturday.

Very friendly staff, they are always so welcoming and kind. Tracy was very helpful in assisting me with how to colour my hair as it was my first time getting foils. Would 100% recommend!

I have been going to Tracey for almost 20 years, following her to her salon in morningside. I always leave feeling well looked after. From trims, to colours, to keratin treatments and more. She always listens and understands my needs perfectly.The last cut has my wayward curls sitting in a short bob. Love it couldn't be happier.Her staff are always courteous when Tracey is not available and give the professional touch that I have come to expect.

I have been going to see Bridgette at Clipz for a few years now. She has been impeccable. Can't fault her and the Team there. They always listen to what I want, and help me to achieve the look I want. I don't go anywhere else, and I also travel a distance just to go to this Salon. Great Work to all there.

Bridget was absolutely amazing last week, and I cannot recommend her professionalism and expertise highly enough. My 13 year old son has special needs, and haircuts have always been a traumatic experience for him, and everyone else involved. The difference this time was Bridget. She showed him such kindness, patience and understanding that he actually allowed her to cut his hair. And his hair cut was perfect. With all my heart I thank you Bridget, and we'll see you again soon.

Excellent! Kyra really listened to what I wanted. She took the time to show me some pictures of highlighted hair and helped me decide what colour was best for me. She did an excellent job and very quick. I will come back for sure.
