Ryan was great from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and honest. Guitars both now play incredibly well and sound so much better. Had been a while between services :| recommend!

So, Ryan has pretty much worked on all my guitars and has brought every single one of them sonically back to life whilst also making them play better than when I bought them. He literally performed magic on my 23-year-old Guild acoustic. I picked it up yesterday and I haven’t been able to put it down for too long ever since!Ryan has such an advanced knowledge of guitars - how they should be set up and the best ways to repair them. He is a really down-to-earth guy who guarantees all his work. He’s also very honest when it comes to telling you what needs doing and what doesn’t need doing…I want to give Colourtone Guitars six stars, but five will have to do!

Ryan is an absolute genius and a fantastic guitar tech and luthier. He's super friendly, easy to talk to and listens to the customer. He knows what he is doing and delivers to his promise.I bought a PRS SE Mark Holcomb guitar which unfortunately came with a few issues. After following the official route of getting it repaired via the service center and getting nowhere and worried, I contact Ryan who spent a good amount of time listening to me over the phone and understood what my problem is. He had one look down the neck of the guitar and immediately knew what the problem was and gauranteed me that I would love it after he had fixed it. And a few days later, I played the guitar and it sounded and played incredible. Everything was fixed and the guitar felt like a premium guitar. Cannot emphasize enough how good a setup the guitar got!I cannot thank you enough Ryan, and I would highly recommend anyone in Melbourne looking for any guitar work to reach out to Ryan! I would give him 6 stars if possible.

Bought a used Seagull guitar that needed some work to bring it back to its former glory. Booked an apportionment with the guitar doctor here and its as good as it has ever been, perfect action after fret job and proper setup... also was done same day (around two hours, so visited the local pub and picked up after)I highly recommend, especially as most guitar repairers ask for way to much cash, are dishonest and make you wait two weeks for new strings to be added and a truss rod turn. This guy is honest and worth every penny. 10/10 (also cool stickers)

Ryan has done 3 of my guitars now and they all come back better than new. He's easily the best tech/luthier I've ever met, very attentive to every detail and is an amazing bloke too! I hadn't had my Jaguar serviced in the 9 years that I owned it and Ryan has made it feel brand new with a service and set-up.I couldn't be more satisfied by the outcome. Ryan is a great tech. He's worked on 2 of my guitars with excellent results. It's obvious that he genuinely enjoys what he does.

Ryan is fantastic at what he does, he is experienced and very knowledgeable. I bought in some random Japanese guitar from the 50's with no branding and was just a mess, but Ryan managed to get this thing feeling good and playing well. He answers all your questions lets you know what he has to do and doesn't blind side you through the process. Will definitely bring any guitars I need sorted out here again
