Has there been a change of kitchen in the last 4 months? Though the menu is much the same, but there seems to be a drop in quality and presentation. Why do they place roast meat on top of veg? Since when is this the right way? For instance, parma is now served on the chips and, guess what? Soggy bloody chips! Well, they're not the only ones doing it. When you see the prices everyone is charging for food, you would expect better standards. A shame because the food used to be really good.It looks like things are on the Improve. My Butter Chicken Curry was delicious, ample and it looked really good. Fish and Chips looked good as well.

I'm always on the lookout for a great pub meal & this certainly met my expectations. It's great that there was a no fuss approach with the convenience of ordering drinks & meal via my smart phone at the table & service was efficient & quick. The gravy that accompanied the pie was a bonus. It's my first time & looking forward to visiting again to try something else.

Mum's private lunch memorial was held in The Lounge end of April 2023. Violet and the staff were exceptional from the beginning with communication and attention to detail. Both food and service were excellent and couldn't be happier with the venue. We will definitely be using The Vale for all future events. Thank you, Rosie.

Thanks to Violet and her team for making our event run so smoothly. Great birthday set up for kids, food was plentiful, arrived fresh, and hot. The team is easy to work with, accommodating, and just generally lovely. Violet took our requests and saw to them immediately. Highly recommend kids birthday party at the Vale.

Very enjoyable weekday lunch in the bistro with friends. Efficient and helpful staff. Can order at bar or via app on table. Either way, meals brought to table when ready. Good serve sizes and variety across the menu. Has modern feel with a number of different areas to sit in, sizeable sports bar. Loads of off street parking.

This is our go-to for functions. We have had a few parties here, and every time it is easy. Staff are very helpful, room is great and food is good. Again very happy that is why we have more parties here.

We booked the lower level bistro on Saturday June 17th, 2023 for approximately 40 pax including children and toddlers, for a family '4 milestone birthdays' function and this space worked exceptionally well for us.Not only is the space relatively separate from upper level diners, but the adjacent children's playroom with a full height and width glass wall gave parents good visual control of their children when not directly supervising them.Our prior discussions and email exchanges with Assistant Manager Violet Thai were very cordial, helpful and supportive of our wishes.The food menu choices were wide and varied, with quality worthy of most decent pubs and the wine list gave us plenty of variation and choice at reasonable prices. The kid's menu included a soft drink and a dessert.Being an ALH venue, there is a contract to agree to and for this number of people to be served main courses reasonably close together timewise, the contract required main courses to be pre-ordered and paid for in advance to assist the kitchen.A bar tab can be established, which we did use for beer and soft drink jugs, in addition to purchasing initial bottles of wine to bring to our general area.Depending on the needs of a group, this area could hold 50+ people.On the day, we were well served by Violet and her staff member Jess - nothing was too much trouble, requests were fulfilled promptly and very good attention was given to clearing away used plates to keep tables clean and uncluttered.We had a great day and wish to thank both Violet and Jess for their excellent service and friendliness. We would recommend this venue and space for a similar sized function. :-)

We enjoyed our vale visit. The Barra was tasty although a little dry, certainly didn’t hate it. The pie was very nice with good gravy and crispy onion rings. No hate there either. Has all the amenities and Intuitive staff. Would come back and not hate it again!

Excellent service, clean and spaces with a view. We found the menu and meals inviting and enjoyable for our staff reunion. Staff made an effort to find a specific drink.
