WE ARE A COMMUNITY FOCUSED NOT FOR PROFIT CHARITY THAT WELCOMES STUDENTS AND TOURISTS TO OUR BOATBUILDING WORKSHOP LOCATED ON THE FORESHORE OF THE HUON RIVER AT FRANKLIN.

Run by hard working knowledgeable volunteers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. This is a must for all ages and make sure you probe a little and they will eagerly share how they are moving forward to recreate an art and industry

Do the tour! I learnt so much. The centre was so busy with students and volunteers who were passionate about their craft. The wooden boats are beautiful!

Showroom was smaller than we expected. Would have been better if we could have done the informative tour through the workshop. Amazing workmanship, beautiful boats outside and in, lovely location. We enjoyed it.

I highly recommend to go for the tour.Neil gave a very informative and fun tour on wooden boat building using Huoun pine wood.They even have a course on wooden boat building.

What an interesting place! The tour was incredibly interesting and accommodating. I recently had a knee replacement so was quickly provided with a chair which was carried along as the tour progressed.

For anyone interested in history and boat building this is for you. Fascinating place with really passionate volunteers who really know their stuff. And they run courses. 10/10

Excellent tour from a very knowledgeable guide. Very interesting both in the history of the centre, the training and the restoration projects. Definitely make it a stop on your way through.

If your into boats, wood work or just a good community project it is well worth dripping in for a tour. This was putlr second visit. Well worth the $15.
