Central Veterinary Emergency

Incompetent would be a compliment, after calling yesterday morning in regards to our French bulldog about to give birth we where told “ I’m sorry that’s not an emergency “ fobbed off with no care given whatsoever!Of course during the evening our dog went into labour when we called again with it now being an emergency with her needing the required C section, only to be told oh they have gone home at 12 midnight and closed…Leaving Bendigo without any emergency vet services at all…As a breeder I would advice that you don’t place your faith or care of your beautiful pets within the Bendigo vets, as they have been proven to not be available in the time of need !Failing in there care for animals, absolutely terrible.For the record we have had pups born deceased, as French Bulldogs very rarely birth naturally and require C sections.As you will see the response from the owner of this vet practice “Mark” underneath is simply a cover up, as the triage service nurse directly called the vet to inform this vet practice owner of our emergency, she has then called me back saying “ he doesn’t want to take it on and tell them to attend Melbourne “.The response from this practice has been staggering no call to follow up on our concerns nor a follow up on the welfare of the animals?I guess we shall all stand by for more deflection of responsibility from these practices which are one in the same McIvor Rd Vet & Central Emergency Vet Bendigo.Probably don’t rely on them if you have an emergency.

This clinic is responsible for a puppy’s death! They advertise and promise 24h service but when emergency happens they are closed. French bulldog was in emergency labour but no one helped because the doctor who was supposed to be on duty had went home. When begged to call another doctor or give some sort of guidance, the response was to go to Melbourne. Unfortunately it was too late.

Very caring and thoughtful team. They explained options clearly and showed compassion during what was a difficult time.

Late Christmas Eve and they answered the phone and I got an appointment.They explained everything I needed to know and took care of my cat. Wonderful care after I was so worried everything was closed, considering the day/date.

Called central Victorian emergency yesterday as my sick dog would not take his meds and the lovely vet came out to the car and showed me how to do it. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to help.

I had to have my beloved old cat Jack put to sleep.The Dr and the girls were wonderful, they were compassionate, caring, and at no time did I feel rushed, they gave me time to grieve while I was there and compose myself before I left. They also came into the room for payment instead of making me go to the front counter, and they let me out the side door so I didn't have to face anyone after what had happened. The vet and staff made what was a devastating event, bearable, with her simple kindness and empathy, and I can't thank her enough for that!Highly recommended

The vets at Central Veterinary Emergency are very helpful, professional and friendly. My Cat had a stick lodged up its anal cavity at 4am in the morning and the vets at Central Veterinary Emergency were very quick to operate and provided professional and comprehensive advice. Highly recommended!
