Best Italian restaurant in Sydney. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Pasta alla vodka had amazing flavour and heat all round great experience will definitely be back

Wait staff were lovely. We were sat in the enclosed outside of the restaurant even though we had a booking. It became overly warm around the heater, but was necessary for the cold night. Cocktails were good. We really enjoyed the arancini and would definitely come back for it. The diavola pizza was yummy, the touch of honey was a pleasant surprise to the old classic. The pasta we had was nice but didn't blow us away in terms of flavour or portion (compared to the price) compared to some other Sydney Italian pasta joints but overall a great experience.

We have very high expectations of the restaurant, located in Surry hill, hence we booked a dinner on Friday night for birthday celebration.First of all, the music is sooo loud in the restaurant, was very difficult to talk to each other. The pasta was under cooked, it was a bit raw still, the pizza was very very ‘wet’ and overly sweet. The pane Di casa was a bit dry but the flavour was ok.Suppli was not bad comparing with the rest dishes. Both texture and flavour was good .The customer services were good however we felt a bit rushed, they would clean table extremely quick and kinda feel like we can not take our time and just enjoy a date night.

Cute spot tucked away behind a lane it’s like a little secret! The arancini was the best I’ve had and the vodka & oxtail pastas were incredible. The tiramisu was outstanding!! The little bits of crunch inside were to die for and great service!

One of the best italian in Sydney!Would rate 9-10/10!We loved:Friendly staff, able to accomodate dietary needsAmazing intimate vibe (not pretentious, overly luxurious but humble, simple and relaxing)Every single dish is chef kiss (we ordered: aranchini, truffle butter bread, vodka pasta, cacao e Pepe, spicy salami pasta, margharita pizza) -we each have our favourite dish, mine is the cacio e pepe, I always dream about it!Price is just, given how phenomenal the experience and food areCan’t really find a flaw in our whole experience, perhaps having more tables in the restaurant? Or opening another branch in Sydney so we don’t have to book 1 month ahead to secure a seat?

Finally found my favourite Cacio e Pepe in all of Sydney…and I’ve been searching for a while. The food was simply delicious and the waiters were so kind. It reminded me of Italy..even if it was just for a split second. Amazing food and amazing drinks. What else can I say… I highly recommend

The dough on the pizza is perfection, if you like sweet on your pizza the Diavola is deliciousThe pasta is all cooked well too (Al dente) and authentic flavours (so nothing bombastic/overwhelming/surprising but all very tasty). We got the carbonaraDisappointed by the 'woodfired bread', looks like it is just scraps of pizza dough topped with their butter, was a bit averageTiramisu was not my preference as I like a higher ratio of cream (but others on my table loved it)

After many attempts to get a booking here, I finally succeeded. I ordered the diavola pizza and the rigatoni alla vodka (otherwise known as spicy vodka rigatoni pasta) and thoroughly enjoyed each meal. The base of the pizza was soo crispy and all of the ingredients were super flavourful, was missing the honey though. The vodka rigatoni was very nice, the pasta was perfectly el dente and it was a generous portion however I think it was quite overrated. The pasta was not even spicy and the sauce was quite basic for its price so I would get it again. Everything was worth trying though and I would come back in future on special occasions. Best pizza in Sydney? Yes. Best pasta in Sydney? Probably not.

Great Italian in the heart of Surry Hills. The pizza here is amazing and different from other places I've been to in terms of the toppings. Was my first attempt at Romana style and it didn't disappoint. Well constructed and light yet filling. The arrancini is the best I've ever had. The Tiramisu is a definite recommendation for dessert. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. The staff were very attentive and never far away if required. This is what service should be like elsewhere. I can only imagine how good they have it in Italy!

New restaurant in Sydney with typical Roman cuisine. I was there a couple of weeks ago with friends. We took a pizza to share with the aperitif and everyone then had a pasta. Pizza Top and my carbonara was really good. Well done guys
