We had a terrible experience buying a house through James and Starrpartners. We were gazumped after our offer was accepted, he was uncontactable when we tried to make a higher offer to keep the property, and we had to bypass him and go straight to the vendors solicitor to make a higher offer. On settlement day he was again unavailable and after settlement we rang 3 times to arrange to pick up the keys but no one at Starrpartners could get them sorted. The vendors later told us they were very unhappy with him as well. Beware...

We have been with CANT Starr partners Maitland for over 8 years with our rental investment property in Aberglasslyn. They have made consistent mistakes and errors during this time and do not show due diligence to Landlords. They have appalling processes in place to care for your property. They even had a pregnant property manager forget to advertise our home for lease which cost us a months mortgage. They do not monitor the house for damage during the inspections and they overlook the condition of the Garden upkeep which has cost us over $5K to repair damages to our home and garden managed by them . See photos.NOT sure why my photos keep getting deleted from their FB page especially when the photos show the house in a better state of affairs after we terminated their management and WE returned the property to standard?????So I now go to the Public Face book and post again for clarity to what they offer as an Agency .We have an enormous family and friends circle in the Hunter who will see the posts so I ask that you all share with all your contacts on FB!!!!The ceiling had damage from past tenants( which they can’t remember) and did nothing about it. Upon the last tenant vacating the property they had the home cleaned $440.00, pest treatment $145.00 and carpets cleaned $145.00 billed to me then taken from the bond . They then charged 10% invoice charges of the tenants cleaning fees back to meDisgraceful .LANDLORDS be aware!!! Cowboys and Principal Agent Andrew Cant exercised care factor or NIL and lacked any professionalism to respond to my email !However - PRD Hunter Valley selling the home and fabulous. Talk to Nick Clarke . He is a real professional and cares about your homeLook at the before and after shots of the home ???All my friends and family please share this post to all you know in the Hunter as this Agency are not up to standardThey keep deleting my photos on FBThey are ashamed!

What a disgraceful service the rental team are. Evicted on Christmas Eve, with little or no care at all to our situation. 2 years in a property and told oh well" by the charming Louise Hile. Customer Service is clearly not a priority with this team. Then to top it off

Tony Cant Real Estate consistently failed us.It was very common for staff to not respond to any emails, even when I'd CC multiple staff at the same time. There was no routine maintenance carried out; I believe this may have prevented a lot of issues experienced at the property (leaking roof, black mould). They did not disclose that the property was situated in a flood-prone area with a history of flooding, which was something that eventually happened again, causing our area to be classified as a natural disaster zone.It was only after several years of dismissing our concerns, to the point where I was pleading with them, that they finally sent out a plumber to remove blockages on the roof but it was too late, the damage was done (wood rot, moisture damage, severe mould). I was twice diagnosed with aspergillosis, a fungal infection of the lungs, during my time there. I also paid out of pocket to try and remedy some of these issues, after gaining the property manager's blessing to do so, but I was never once offered any reimbursement.I honestly do not want to rate one star as they did give my wife and me a chance when we were probably considered a risk due to being low income at the time. I do thank the property manager for that, I just wish their generosity and concern extended further than securing a 12 month lease for the landlord.Unfortunately, due to our situation, we did not have the means, nor the opportunity, to move home until late 2016. We're now glad to have moved, there was so much anxiety generated by living in that home. Another few years and I believe the entire house will slide off its foundation if it's not swallowed up by sinkhole.

James is one of the most dishonest people i have ever come across, we were looking to sell our home to be closer to family. However his lack of honesty and transparency from the get go, gave us cold feet to proceed. This was a few years ago now, but he is one agent i have always remembered to steer clear from.

James and the team were the perfect partners throughout the whole process.Their holistic approach to realty meant it wasn’t just about a sale. They real took the time to understand us and what we wanted whilst advising us on the market we were navigating.

Excellent company to deal with.Have dealt with them on several occasions, had issues over covid and they have understood.Recently finished leading a commercial premises that we leased for over 20 years, and Tony and the team have been great to deal with.Office is hard to find if you don't look hard, side door and up stairs in the building.

Was interested in a property in Thornton NSW. Rang office at 20 past 2 to see how motivated vendor was and what price scale they were looking at. Receptionist stated she did not know and the agent was out of the office but will take my details and get the agent to call me asap. At 5 pm rang the office and got message that no one was contactable. Rang again 7 minutes later and left a message requesting that someone contact me asap, I had been told previously that someone would. Bit the bullet and rang one of the mobile numbers and spoke to Amanda? and asked a couple of questions (not very accommodating and a bit abrupt). She advised that there had been an offer but technically" is not an offer so house legally still for sale. Very confused
