Came here after a day on the beach. Can't say the service was particularly inviting, I almost felt like I was bothering them. Regardless, I was there for the food and not the service.The fish itself was nicely battered and not over or under cooked. No lemon provide or offered. Chips were crunchy and it would have been nice if chicken salt was also an option. Also thought they could have given more chips, but I probably wouldn't have finished them given how salty they were

Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and the people there are lovely.I needed to order for 20 people and they helped me get a great spread and suggested the best options to keep the price down. It’s also super conveniently located across the road from the beach with places to sit and eat.Will definitely go back next time in in rye.

Best seafood in town. Been there for the hot spring, stopped at David Prosser for some oyster and fish& chip. Very fresh !!! Friendly staffs as well.

We had a great time. Moon provides great service and the fish and calamari was fresh and tasted yum. Salmon was fish of the day, and it was a great portion and very fresh again.

Is this the best fish and chips shop Ive been too? Maybe! But it's hard to tell.This place is very popular! So be careful of the wait time. But in my opinion it is well worth the wait.I had some of the best Blue Grenadier Ive ever had here.Open on Sunday until they are sold out, so don't listen to google too much. Sold out around 8pm when we visited.

Ordered a fish burger - wasn't disappointed! Crispy, fresh fish, with crisp lettuce, crunch onions, toasted bun. Highly recommended! And the chips were beautifully done to a crispy golden brown. Prism it the best fish and chips shop in Rye

Used to be one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. New management are awful and have no respect for customers by trying to substitute cheap offcuts to unsuspecting customers.Ordered a family pack with 4 flakes and received 1 small flake and a few of their 'fish bites' in lieu of the remaining 3 flake I paid for.After receiving and opening our pack, we came back in to the store to question what we had received. We were told that they ran out of flake but assured us that the fish bites were the same. They were disgusting and at no point were we told they would be replacing our fresh flake with these subpar substitutes - they were mashed up fish offcuts battered and fried. Just horrible, clearly nothing like the one piece of average flake we actually received.To remedy, they offered to make us fresh flake. This was odd considering they previously told us they had none left. So it appears they had been purposely flogging off fish scraps to unsuspecting customers as this would be far cheaper than using real flake.We obviously requested a refund instead. Dining outside we noticed other people were also experiencing the same thing and received refunds.Potato cakes tasted like soap too.Hopefully these dodgy practices catch up to these new owners. Never have I experienced anything like this at a fish and chip shop.

Even though they were being slammed by the number of customers (Australia Day), the quality of food was excellent! (And the staff maintained their calm really well). Clearly manage their oil well and use good quality product. Well done again.

Well priced and made to order. I love how you can pick you own fresh fish and they cook it for you. The 'small chips are definitely enough for two. Love this place."
