Salt and Bush Eco Tours

This was such a great unique and special experience. We took a very peaceful paddle in our kayaks in the morning where a feeding dolphin greeted us. The foot peddle kayaks are amazing, hard to go back to using a paddle! We also had a delightful morning tea half way through :) This was such a fantastic way for us to finish our month in WA and would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get in touch with nature without the crowds. The passion Jamie and Base have for what they do is so apparent and will definitely go for another adventure with them when we’re next back.

Fabulous long weekend at Mandurah. We did a half day kayaking tour as a family of four. Absolutely stunning view. We also did a Nocturnal Wildlife Tour on that same night. Base and Jamie worked so well together ensuring that we have a fantastic time. They both are so knowledgeable about all things nature, wildflowers, birds, wildlife, nocturnal, stars, you name it. They are so passionate with the environment and nature and they have so many stories to share. Highly recommend ANY tours run by Base and Jamie at Salt and Bush Eco Tours. They are on time, organized well equipped and very thoughtful. The tours are very educational and definitely well worth the experience. Thank you Base and Jamie for your hospitality. Our two teenagers thoroughly enjoyed both tours. We are hoping to go back and do the sailing tours next time. We had the most perfect sunny winter afternoon canoeing along the tranquil Serpentine River with Base and Jamie. We saw lots of birds, some common and some rare; unfortunately no dolphins this time... maybe next time... Jamie and Base are so knowledgeable and helpful. They provided a delicious afternoon tea and were so well organised that we didn't even get our feet wet. We can't wait to join them on another tour.

We did a half-day guided kayak adventure on the Serpentine with Base and Jamie, (and our 5-year old), and it was fantastic,Base's knowledge and passion were contagious, and my partner said her teeth were dry by the end because she'd been smiling so much!It was a good mixture of physical exercise (although not too much - the pedal kayaks are easy to use), fun and facts, nature, and something different.We saw an array of birds of prey and water birds, we even had dolphins swim along side us as they fished.Base did a great job of bringing the natural world to life, and he was a star when it came to keeping a 5-year old interested and engaged.We'll definitely be booking again, and I'd highly recommend it.

Base and Jamie are legends, this was an awesome experience and I highly recommend checking these guys out. We did a kayak tour and saw an abundance of birds. They're both very knowledgeable and friendly, I'll definitely be doing another tour with these guys.

Jamie & Base are just fabulous eco-guides: informative, great communicators, safety consious yet relaxed and so generous with their time and deep knowledge. We have travelled with them several times on extended trips. But most recently we did the Salt & Bush kayaking on the Serpentine half day tour: it was just wonderful, so calm, such good intimate wildlife and bird spotting and a great lunch as well!! I highly recommend doing an amazing Kayaking Tour with Jaime and Base from Salt and Bush Eco Tours. I have been wanting to do a kayaking tour with them for a long time, and finally the weekend aligned, and bam I drove down straight away for a tour!!! We had a 3 hour beautiful, peaceful kayak down the Serpentine River, observing a very high abundance and high biodiversity of bird life- water birds, shore birds and birds of prey. I LOVE BIRDS, so it was amazing to hear Jaime and Base speak their knowledgeable minds and hearts. We saw and heard Black Cockatoos, Splendid Fairy Wrens, Ospreys, Whistling Kites and the list goes on. We paddled through a culturally significant area as well, and Base taught us about the indigeous history and injustices. I absolutely loved my morning spent with Jaime and Base, it brought me great solitude, and relaxation, and I shared the experience with a beautiful friend of mine. So grab a friend, head down to Mandurah and join Salt and Bush Eco Tours for a kayak or sailing tour !!!
