Wonderful town, history here is amazing, people friendly and helpful to visitors, the car musium is a must to visit, swinging bridge is a good place to take photos of the Avon River from.

Awesome little park. The bridge was unexpected and a great attraction. Definitely had some trepidation crossing the bridge with my toddler but he loved it! The park had amazing features, the typical swings and climbing frames, but also a large flying fox, (a nice sounding) xylophone, and waterfall play. With public toilets and shops close by, this is a great pit stop.

Day trip to York town - Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. There has music festival and medieval fair recently. Visitors from Perth getaway during long weekend. Great atmosphere.

Great little country town. Friendly service all round. Visited the pubs for dinner and the cafe opposite the park for late night dessert. There wasn't a heap to do, but it was great to see the old buildings and just unwind.

Nice town an hour and a bit from Perth. Historic buildings and the Avon River. Worth a visit.

York is such a special special place. You think about it, it's almost like a time capsual of the past, and the locals like to keep it that way. There's a few things to do down that end of WA, the motor museum, both pubs, the Avon river walk, the lookout at mount brown, perfect for a weekend away.

What a lovely town! Stopped on our way through & stayed 4 days! Very relaxed little town with history signs posted around the town explaining what the buildings were. The look out gives a pleasant understanding of the undulating country side. Town hall, court house, motor museum, so much to see & do. Definitely recommend York.
