Frankston Mitsubishi & Kia Service Centre

I bought my ute here which was a great experience and had no dramas at all and the staff weren't all in my face trying to make me buy anything and I've always taken my ute to get serviced here which I've never had an issues with the staff alone or the servicing. I had some minor issues with the car with one not being the cars fault and it was taken care off with no hassles. I've asked for things to be looked at or changed and it's never an issue and they do a good job on the servicing. They wash your car from time to time as well and the only thing I'd say is that they never have a hire car when I need one although that may be due to when I book or it just being busy, I'm not sure but it would be nice to get a hire car for once!

A good professional operation. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The quality of work done is excellent. A transportation service is available if needed while your vehicle is serviced.

Worst mechanicsStated I had a fault in ECU when in fact it was an electrical problem. Got second opinion and saved myself $1000 when there was no problem with the ECU. Won't be going back here ever again.

I've had several bad experiences with the Frankston Kia Service Centre. So what's wrong with them? The quality of mechanical work is poor. After extensive engine work, the air con was not re-gassed and the radiator only partly filled. In another case I had a fault with the starter motor - I paid a lot to fix an obscure fuse but found they hadn't diagnosed the fault correctly. Still had to pay for it and all they offered was supply of a new starter motor at-cost plus labour. Services often took longer than expected because, for example, they had didn't have tools on site. A week repair unexpectedly became 3 weeks, and they offer no courtesy vehicles. Perhaps worst of all, after my engine was replaced under warranty, I was encouraged to purchase an expensive but sham extended warranty through them. A sales person later agreed the policy didn't provide what I specifically asked for, and then said they no longer sell the policies. I have tried to speak with the old and the new manager over 12 times over several months trying to get a refund and my calls were NEVER returned. Unbelievable and utterly infuriating. Seriously DO NOT GO HERE!Where should you go? I now go to GS&M Automotive just up the road in Seaford - they are AWESOME (I checked out their 57 google reviews/4.9 rating and wasn't disappointed). They are much cheaper and, more importantly, are knowledgeable, pay attention to detail and don't sell rubbish products). After services on two vehicles, I can't recommend GS&M highly enough.

Very incompetent mechanics, I asked them to change simple settings in my car but they wouldn't do it (nothing illegal, I just wanted the car to start in Eco mode). When I picked up my car the steering was about 5° off centre, even though I didn't ask them to do anything to the steering. Plus they charge at least $200 more than other mechanics in the area plus claim a rebate from Mitsubishi on top of that.I was asked to watch my language, what sort of decent mechanic can't handle a bit of a swear?

Go to Knox mitsi instead.No pride in their work. Car was given back with oil and diesel all over the engine bay with no attempt to clean. Got a call about how satisfied I was with the service which I said I wasn't, said she'd have a chat to someone and call me back, never called back.

Spare parts guy very helpful and knowledgeable in steering me in another direction in getting a part i needed, cheers

Very bad customer service. I called them over the phone and asked for Mitsubishi outlander 2017 behind driver seat car seat buckle and they gave me wrong one, which was the middle seat. They charged me $106 for the wrong part. Then I called them and asked for the right buckle and they charged me $255 for that one. So instead of giving me some concessions, they charged me more. I asked the manager over there to just stick the new buckle and he asked me to book an appointment. It was such a bad experience. It was not my fault, I asked very clearly that I need buckle behind driver seat, but no chance they gave the wrong one. If I could I won’t even give them 1 star. Very bad bad.

Wonderful staff who are tremendously helpful while they continue to handle the immense pressure experienced in the fast paced day to day affairs of a service department.Regularly having my car serviced here, I believe the technicians do an outstanding job of keeping cars clean considering they are quite often unknowingly covered in the oils and grease that our vehicles require to operate
