Overrated, it's good value for what you pay and the equipment they have but there're limited training times and while there's an initial welcoming facade the place is super cliquish.Unless your life is based around UQ and/or you're cash-strapped a proper powerlifting gym will get you better training and results.

UQPWC is affiliated with the University of Queensland's UQ Sport and is open to the public. It is close to the St Lucia campus making it a convenient place to train after classes. As a newbie I found the members and coaches to be accommodating and helpful. Before I joined the club I didn't know anything about powerlifting, and now I can squat, benchpress and deadlift.I'd recommend this gym for it's great training atmosphere and friendly members.
