We recently took a group of overseas visitors for a meal at the 19th Hole Bistro. The service staff were very helpful and the meals were amazing. We had a large group of 16 and everyone loved their meals. Great place to take guest visiting Anglesea. A relaxed atmosphere with great views of the golf course and the resident kangaroos are always a hit.

We had a truly horrific and degrading experience tonight, with one singular bar staff member named Juanita. This member of bar staff specifically didn’t know the victorian laws regarding 18 year olds being served food at clubs. The law specifically states that “unaccompanied minors are able to enter the premises if they are having a meal” which she was. She pointed her out in front of the whole restaurant saying she needed to leave and making her feel humiliated and degraded and told her to walk home by herself in the dark, and continued making snarky comments although we suggested the solution of us leaving and receiving a refund for our not yet received food. We had brilliant service from the bistro and rest of the bar staff, they were extremely accomodating and apologetic for the service we received.

This bistro was mediocre. The atmosphere was amazing, great sound level and lovely staff. The only issue was the food. It took over an hour for the food to come out and all we ordered were burgers. Not to mention that the burgers did not taste good, they were lukewarm when served.

We go here regularly, I don’t know if there is a new chef but it definitely isn’t as good as a little while ago. Barramundi was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Vegetables were just ok. Husbands Beef in Red wine pie, had no hint of red wine, maybe it was the wrong pie? The 3 stars is for the staff not the food.

The food here is absolutely dreadful. We have returned a couple of times hoping that it has improved or the chef has changed, but it remains dreadful. It is an amazing venue but the lack of patronage is sending management a clear message that the chef needs to GO!! This venue should be packed out all the time because of the views and location. Please please please invest in a chef and staff that make this a venue of choice. If you want food, for now, do not come here!!!

Food was , easy things to fix. Ribs were good with nice flavour. Onion rings were cold and soggy on the ribs and calamari needs a little greenery in between bites as it is quite spicy. Price a little high in general. A pint of rusty yak for 14.70 is absurd.Pizza oven caused us the most issues. Every time a pizza is collected a gust of wind comes through. Poor designing of the space and no solution available that I could gather. If booking request to not sit near the pizza oven!Great views of golf course and friendly kangaroos.

Warm welcome from friendly staff. Great atmosphere in Bistro. Large varied menu at reasonable prices.Specials board daily, and delicious pizzas. Several gluten free or vegetarian options. Highly recommend for a lovely dinner.

Poor experience.Not sure if the chief gave up- but it was the first horrible meal there.Steak poor, gf pork belly tasted of being deep fried ( bad for the celiac- who has ordered the same meal for the past 5 meals)

It looks like there is a new menu and a new chef. Sadly, the food quality has dropped from 5 to 3 stars which is the equivalent of dropping from outstanding food to standard pub food. The wait staff were wonderful, as usual. Above and beyond. The drinks are still really good.
