William Patino Workshops helped me create a better understanding on how to compose, process and deliver messages. He does this all while immersing us in a friendly and fun filled atmosphere. I recently wrapped up my third adventure with Will and would highly recommend his workshops to anyone looking to improve their photography skills while exploring some beautiful landscapes with some like-minded folks.Will's work originally caught my eye a few years back when I was just starting to explore instagram, and I instantly appreciated his eye for compelling compositions and natural-looking edits. After yet another vacation where I came home frustrated that my photographs just weren't doing justice to what I was seeing, I decided to sign up for his Iceland workshop.I went in without expectations but quickly saw how passionate Will is not only about photography, but also about helping others grow their skills. Will spent time with everyone in the group, getting to know each person's skill level, and made sure to assist each of us according to our own needs and interests (video, long expo, etc). On top of this, after a week of unfavorable weather, Will (with the remote help of his lovely wife Reneé) arranged to change our itinerary and drove us six hours away to the opposite side of the country to get us in front of an amazing sunset and the first northern lights sighting of the trip.I wasn't alone in leaving that trip knowing that I'd join another, which I did--twice (in the Canadian Rockies and New Zealand). On both of these trips, Will's flexible itinerary and ability to read the weather again got us into place for some epic shoots: moonrise over a mostly frozen Moraine Lake, and a clear shot at the impressive Aoraki Mt. Cook just hours before a storm blew in.With Will's help, I've been able to push my photography and editing so far beyond where it was when I started, and have done so much faster than I would have on my own. Thanks to his workshops, I've seen some really beautiful places and also made some great friends. The experiences alone were worth the trips but being able to improve my art along the way has been a great bonus. Molto bene! Thanks, Will!

Attending one of Will's workshop was one of the best choices I could have made for my photography. It was an incredible experience and career-changing opportunity that I cannot recommend enough.I did the New Zealand Winter Wonderland workshop in July 2017 and absolutely loved it! Not only did I learn more than I could have imagined, but I shoot completely differently now. I have gained the confidence and the skills to shoot a scene in ways I never would have thought possible.Will is highly knowledgeable in his craft and filled with passion. He has a patient, down-to-earth approach and is always happy to help. To learn how a true artist would seek out a location, chase the right conditions, and then capture the scene so accurately was inspiring! It provided a unique insight to the process of photography I couldn't get elsewhere.I also appreciated the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other photographers while learning in a friendly and supportive group environment. This workshop was excellent value and packed with a huge variety of locations to shoot. Everything from the road trips, to the accommodation and scenic flights were amazing. Will went above and beyond for the team, ensuring we were always well looked after.I came back with an abundance of professional photos to use for my portfolio, as well as a whole new skill set for pursuing my career. My only regret is that I wish I had done this workshop sooner!

I signed up for my first William Patino workshop having little to no experience in landscape photography or prior knowledge of how to correctly use camera functions/settings to appropriately capture a scene. Having said that, my expectations going in were to simply learn how to shoot manually, have a memorable experience in a new country, and of course come home with some great shots. To say that the experience that Will provided surpassed my expectations would be a significant understatement at best. Will is not simply a photographer, but an artist with a true talent and passion for what he does. Anyone who has participated in one of his workshops has experienced how truly infectious that passion is. As a teacher, Will is patient, motivating, and completely invested in ensuring that each individual participant achieves her/his goals and has an overall incredible experience in every way possible. During my first workshop in Iceland, after going the entire trip with no luck in seeing the Aurora, Will changed our itinerary at the last minute and drove out of his way to ensure that we were at the right place at the right time to witness the once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. Sure enough, thanks to Will's dedication to providing us with the best possible experience, we were able to see and photograph the northern lights on our very last night. This is just one example of how caring, accommodating and devoted Will is as a leader. Needless to say, I came away from this workshop with so much more than great photos, and signed up for a second workshop in the Rockies immediately after, as did several others from our small group of what I now call friends. After having completed 2 workshops with Will, I have seen so much improvement in my work and am proud to showcase all of my progress. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience exploring the world's most stunning scenery through both your camera lens and naked eye, with the guidance of one of the best photographers around (and are comfortable with forgoing a bit of sleep for extra amounts of adventure and laughter), then I could not think of a better way for you to travel.

We had an amazing experience with William on our last trip to NZ! Even though we booked in last minute, he was able to accommodate us with a day workshop personally tailored to what we were after, showing us a wide range of skills at a variety of locations including a post-processing tutorial as well. My photography has without a doubt benefited greatly from his workshop, and I would highly recommend to photographers of all levels. William was very knowledgeable, patient and an all round pleasure to spend the day with.

Just completed the 2019 Winter Workshop in NZ with William and highly recommend William for anyone thinking about a photographic workshop. You are guaranteed to be inspired by Will's passion for landscape photography and get to explore areas on the South Island that are just 'jaw dropping' beautiful. Will also challenges you along the way to step out of your photographic comfort zone with different techniques and creativity. Will's intimate knowledge of his local area allows you to experience locations that the other workshop operators just don't do. Will also allows time for as many of the iconic photographic locations along the way that time and weather allows. The flexibility he affords in his itineraries based on weather conditions, light and individual 'must haves' ensures you will not leave NZ disappointed. Thx William and Renee for a great experience.

I have had the privilege of knowing Will for a few years now and admire his photography greatly. I recently attended Will's Patagonia workshop in April and was able to see first hand his knowledge and passion for landscape photography. Will's ability to pass on that knowledge is second to none. His workshops cater for all levels of photographers and are incredibly fun and relaxed mainly due to his very funny sense of humour and are also a great way to meet other like minded photographers. I could not recommend Will's workshops any more highly as I took so much away from the 10 days spent learning from who I believe is one of the best landscape photographers. So if you are after a workshop where you walk away with a greater depth of knowledge and and a hunger to take your photography to the next level then this is definitely the workshop for you. I look forward to hopefully attending another of Will's workshops in the not to distant future.

I went to Will's workshop in Iceland 2019 and it was an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was well planned with sufficient flexibility to react to good conditions.Will is very knowledgeable, highly skilled at post processing and identifying compositions. He will make sure you're at the right place at the right time to capture stunning images.I highly recommend anyone interested in Will's workshops to sign up, it'll be an awesome adventure with plenty of opportunities to experience and capture beautiful landscapes!!
