Sadly the one vegan option was inedible, gnocchi tough and improperly cooked. Had the gnocchi not been tough it still would have been pretty awful as the sauce was overloaded with capsicum. Have been there in the past and it was quite delicious. Something has happened. New chef maybe? Anyway could not recommend at all.

I tried the Korean fried chicken burger with a kimchi style coleslaw with bull dog sauce for $18. I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a crunch and complimented with a tasty sauce. It came with thick cut fries. I thought I’d try the margarita pizza. It was good if you like a hard, stiffer thin base. Just not my preference. Cool looking gas fired pizza oven. Nice atmosphere. Order at the bar and get your own drinks kinda restaurant. I’d come back. Probably order the same burger, it was good.

What's happened?Knew something was up as soon as I saw the chicken burger. Two rock hard pieces of breading with a sliver of chicken in each. $26 and I ate 1/3 before my teeth gave up on me. Clearly breaded in the afternoon then served up at 7pm. Lacked any real flavours. Mac and cheese was bland with pulled pork, texture was really good but again lacked any flavour.The last couple of times it just seems the love is gone.

Good food, good service and quick on a busy day. The Collective was nearly packed, but we didn’t wait long to be seated and our food was prompt. The garlic pizza side is huge and can be split between two or more people.We will be back :)

Big open venue that is a cross between pizza/pasta restaurant with a touch of pub thrown in. Very popular venue in Gisborne. Polished concrete floors, steal beams gives the place a hard edge industrial style element design. LOTS of take away pizza going out the door testament to popularity of the venue as a pizza joint. Wait staff are attentive friendly and fast. Prices are respectable with most mains from high $20's to mid $30's. Food delived in appropriate time. My calamari middle of the road one dimensional but the pork belly salad was exceptionally tasty. The bad boy thick chips are worth a try and neighbouring tables ordered the chicken burger which was huge.!!!Avoid sitting in proxcimity to main entrance as get cold blast from outside every time front door opened but not a big issue. Recommend a visit

My partner and me visited this restaurant weekend ago. Food was good service was good I would have ranked you more if it was for one thing that was a no no. I don't think it was done intentionally or rather as I called a bit of brain freeze. I don't know if this lady was the restaurant manager or not. She brought this coffee mug to where she was cleaning the patrons cutlery and forks drying them off and putting them away in full eye view while sipping from her mugOkay I'm not here say she could not do it but please do your personal break out of patrons eye specially while cleaning our cutlery. Its for me a bit of hygiene situation. Absolutely a no!!!It frankly put me off. My mind then start to think what else is going on behind the scenes in where food is prepared.I will come back here but be mindful your guys are very open and can be seen in kitchen and also where the cutlery is been kept.

This is my second time to eat at Gisborne Collective and I noticed the service is quicker first time around. The wood fired pizza is better during lunch time, maybe the chef is different at night time. I loved the risotto, it was properly cooked and not runny with water. The rib eye was average compare to its price, it should be good with salad or more vegetable as sides. Overall, it is a good place to eat with friends and family.

We bought food for home delivery - fish and chips and the twice cooked pork belly. It was delivered quickly and amazingly tasty! The salad was packaged separately, which I appreciated, as were the sauces. The chips were fab and the pork belly was heaven. Really well done for delivered food! Thank you.
