What a gem of a place. It is worth the wait, like all the other reviewers said, please be patient while the lady prepares you the delicious home made food. Ordered the fish teriyaki. She made my day.

Wow, this was our first time here and loved it. Very unassuming and kinda thought it wasn't gonna be good! Definitively not somewhere that is quick for service because it is one little japanese lady that does it all, she serves, she cooks.... but the food is worth the wait.

Been here a couple of times now and it's always such a pleasant visit. It's a very unassuming place, ran by the sweetest lady. It truly feels like a delicious, home-cooked Japanese meal and it is SO well priced. Everything you order is freshly prepared (with love), so be patient, but it is definitely worth the wait. I've tried quite a selection at this point and every single item has been amazing! I would come here every day if I could.

The cutest Japanese grandma in Perth. Takes a while for the food to come because she manages the whole shop by herself, but it helped that we were the only customers for the night. Very sincere in making her food enjoyable, nothing too fancy, just like good ol home-cooked food!

Best Takoyaki in Perth. It's run by a couple and it's cozy, but it takes a little longer for the food to be served. It's a good shop I will always visit.

This was my second time with my first being many years ago. Sapporo is a Japanese restaurant that is run by a sole owner/staff/chef. An elderly Japanese lady. With one owner/staff/ chef running the whole show, you can expect a significant wait. To order we waited for 20 minutes, and another 35 minutes for the food to come out. The food weren't bad but it's not fantastic either. We asked for sushi from the menu but there's no sushi whatsoever. I asked for beef ginger rice, the lady had to check whether she still had any left to cook.The place looked a bit run down. It was very quiet when we were there with only a couple at lunch time. The owner was cooking for the couple and that's whole reason why we had to wait for 20 minutes to order.I did feel sorry for the elderly lady but at the same time I don't want go back and have to wait for 55 minutes to get my food.

Little place with sole owner running the shop, so be extra patient please.Love the rice and ramen that we ordered.Feels like the owner cook especially for you only and it takes time for her to prepare everything till being served.Think there is only so much she can do per session as running the show solo. Adjust your expectations whether you want to wait or go somewhere else.

Very authentic Japanese restaurant with pictures and Japanese drinks. Beautiful friendly Japanese lady makes everything herself and fresh, but the waiting it worth it - it exceeded our expectations.
