WORST CHINESE TAKE AWAY EVER!!! Soggy, mushy, tasteless, funny colour, smelt like seafood & we didn't have seafood! We ALL threw it in the bin. Absolutely disgusting. No wonder there was NOBODY in the restaurant. Not even worth 1 star! This is the first review I have ever done, that's how bad it is. Even our teenager that eats anything threw it out.

After 20+ years going here I felt completely ripped off, price has gone up which I expected but the size of my main was tiny and had barely any sauce that was very watery. Sad to say I won’t be back again

Absolutely delicious. So fresh. Lovely owner, he works so hard cooking and answering the phone some nights.Yummy vegetable dishes also. Thank you

We recently went to this restaurant without a booking as a group of 7 for lunch and ended up ordering a $30pp banquet. It was a perfect venue for our purpose - environmentally quiet, efficient, friendly service and sensational food. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be going back! Thank you Silver Palace for a great birthday celebration! xx

Worst Chinese food, or takeaway food in general I've ever received. The chicken satay was grey, pad Thai flavourless, strange fried rice and the bbq pork tasted old. The only half okay dish we had was lemon chicken. Oh and we were told 45 minutes for delivery and food didnt arrive for 2 hours and no apology - in fact the delivery driver was quite abrupt when he dropped the food off and forgot his eftpos machine. I would not recommend eating here.

Great old school basic Aussie/Chinese food.Nice ..7 people plenty for all about $20 per head..Highly recommended

Former employee, reading through these reviews is slightly sad, this is a family-owned and run business, not some fancy high price place with 10+ workers, there are only two cooks, the owner, his partner, and their son who works there too taking orders and packing them, they also have a delivery driver. That's only 4 workers and that's if they haven't hired anyone recently as I haven't worked there in a little over a year. Food takes time to make, so yes it'll take about 10+ minutes and that is if there is no one ahead of you. I remember having to take 12 orders in 20 minutes, it's a small business, you'll have to wait. As for delivery, we don't call the driver until we get our first delivery call, he offers his time to work. Again this is a small family-owned business, not some big fast food chain. For those complaining about the food and it being cold, sometimes they get the order done quicker than what you were told so then it sits until you come and collect it, if you live in Mt Eliza or Mt Martha and you order food, they have 1 delivery driver, so if he is already out on a delivery then guess what you'll have to wait, not only that the restaurant is on Main St, in Mornington so the drive to you will take time. The food can stay hot for around 25 - 30 minutes, if I'm not mistaken Macca's food goes cold in less than that.The food at the Silver Palace is wonderful, it taste's good, it's filling, and it is food worth getting. For those saying it's dry or whatever, food is never going to be perfect, I guarantee your food will taste dry sometimes too. Don't be expecting food too taste absolutely perfect 100% of the time.Again please understand this is a small family-owned and run business, your food will take time to make, your delivery will take 40 minutes, food will never bee 100% perfect. Instead of complaining understand the situation, there are other orders, other people in front of you
