Beautiful place, peaceful and full of wildlife. Part of the Gigerline Nature Reserve in the Murrumbidgee Corridor.Road in is very rough.No fishing and leave pets at home.Go to Tharwa bridge Recreation area instead.

South of Canberra about 40 minutes drive from the city and you are already in a dark place and if you are like me who loves shooting the Milkyway you Will definable love this place. Ocassionaly you have cars running up and down but doesn't really disturb much. Nearby you will aslo see a beautiful Cuppacumbalong Shed as well. You can take a dip in the river while it is hot in summer. I have seen many people but I haven't done it may be sooner.

Great place for a walk, picnic swim in the summer, kayaking or just to sit & relax.

Didn’t swim but did walk the trail. Expected it to go to water but it just kind of stopped. Nice day out but we did get very soggy after the recent rains

Great spot for a family picnic and a swim but leave your fishing rods at home as y our not allowed to fish there.
