Hobsons bay fish and chips
Took me a while to find a good Takeaway shop in the Footscray to Williamstown region but this one is it. Been here a bit now and it’s alway good, clean, good customer service and the food is always great.

Have been going here for years evrytime we go to Williamstowm beach. Consistently good fish ans chips never oily tasting. Highly recommend!

Service was friendly and the chips,potato cakes and nuggets we ordered were hot, fresh and deliciously crispy! 10/10

They forgot my flake which was super frustrating as we were already at the beach to eat, when I called there was no apology just simply “you can come back and get it or save it for next time”…not good enough.As for the quality of the fish and chips I would say average at best. The batter didn’t really have much flavour but the biggest negative was chicken salt coming in a bag (pictured left) rather than on the fish and chips? When not applied to fresh-from-the-frier fish and chips it just doesn’t stick at all so they had no flavour.Would not go again.

In my opinion the best fish and chips in the whole of OZ. When staying in Melbourne I travel 25 klm to get my fix.. that's how good it is.
