The Boathouse Rose Bay
Loved our visit. The view was spectacular on a sunny day and we enjoyed all the dishes - nicely balanced flavour and more generous portion among similar restaurants! Very friendly wait staff as well, helped us find a table with space to park our baby pram. Will definitely come back.

Beautiful location near the water and staff were friendly & professional.BUT the food was massive dissapointment. Limited menu selection. Small serve of salmon with tiny piece of fennel tasted bland and we left hungry, not worth $48.Sorry but will not be coming back anytime soon.

I visited my nearby alma mater, Cranbrook School and decided to have lunch afterwards at The Boathouse. I am so glad that I did. My waiter, Joe, was friendly, helpful and thoroughly professional. I had a delicious meal, highlights being the scorched scallop entree and the Vegan coconut sorbet for dessert. Wow! Just wow! Thanks so much!

The venue is stunning. The views are amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. The food however…needs some improvement. Crab toast yes! There was good flavour, it was presented beautifully and the brioche worked well with the crab filling. The oysters could have had a better mignonette. The mains didn’t impress. The steak was bland and the quality wasn’t what you’d expect for the price paid. The salmon dish was just salmon and some fennel broth - this too was pretty bland and honestly I couldn’t taste the fennel broth come through. There was some salmon roe sitting on a piece of fennel but I’m not sure what that was adding to the dish. Maybe the concept is to keep it simple and true to the produce but it lacks imagination.

We went for Mother’s Day and we’re really well looked after. The food and wine were delicious, staff really friendly, and a great afternoon. We’ll def be back!!

Great location and lovely service from the staff however the food was a letdown for us. The price you pay for what you get, especially the steak was disappointing.

While there wasn't a wide variety of dishes tochoose from, the food at this restaurant was still quite good. The location, with its water view, was also a standout feature. The interior of the restaurant was well-designed, and I particularly enjoyed the shell-shaped mirror.

Just an amazing view, very relaxing mother’s day brunch. Love the tartare sauce for the fish and chips, coffee was pretty good. Scones not so much, love my traditional scones.We came around 12 on Sunday and no line which is great ☺️

I ate at the kiosk downstairs: had a long black coffee and the fish burger. The view was great, with the place surrounded by luxury yachts—can’t vouch for the sunrise or sunset but I think it would have been nice.The coffee was a bit on a watery side, but it didn’t feel too “heavy,” so it was quite friendly to the gut. The fish burger was nice (though dear). They’re generous with the portion, giving two slabs of fish as pictured.Service was quick and pleasant. I think overall deserves the stars I’ve rated.

A new favourite for us for sure. The food was great, but the view made it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was peaceful and light. Would highly recommend.
