Terrible repair. $600 pants with a 4cm tear. Returned with a 10cm horizontal seam which was crooked and not fully overlocked on the inside. I could have done a better job myself. I was too shocked to even make a scene

Mattara Dry Cleaners has been my go to dry cleaners for over 30 years. Always friendly, professional, spotless and timely.

Dropped a suit and a white shirt off to be dry cleaned following a wedding, took 2 weeks for items to be returned and white shirt still had red wine stains in the sleeves upon collection. Will never go back

I work as an image consultant for both men and women - usually professionals - and teach them how important good fit is to their look. I refer clients to this business and have also had many, many alterations of my own done here, including expensive garments. The service is good. They are better priced than the tailors in the major centres; more accessible too; and they will pin the required alterations on you so you know exactly what you are getting. Recommended.

I arrived on a Monday morning asking if I would be able to have a coat dry cleaned for a funeral on the Thursday. I was assured they would be able to do so as I stressed the importance. I was not contacted to pick up my item in time and organised something else to wear. I mentioned this when I went to pick up and I was rudely told (possibly by the owner) that I could’ve contacted them. I had been planning a funeral and chasing up promised dry cleaning was the last of my priorities. I was very upset to be spoken to with such disrespect during a period of grief. My family has used this service for as long as it has been operating. None of us will be using their service again.

I recently took a suit , white dress shirt & wedding dress to be dry cleaned here.Received a ticket which doesn’t itemise what you have taken in , all it has is a ticket number.I was told the suit & shirt would be ready in a week & the dress two weeks and I would be called once ready.No phone call so decided to ring “yep it’s been ready for over a week”. Went to pick everything up that day and was handed a suit and a dress.I asked where the dress shirt was and was told these where only the two items. I then explained that it was 100% with the rest of the items that were dry cleaned.The most upsetting part is there was zero care that the item had been lost. No reimbursement or even a offer to go look for it at the time.After several phone calls from my end as I did not receive calls from them I had finally given up.I work in customer service and I know what it’s like to do right by your customers.If I was you stay away they clearly don’t care about there customers it’s such a shame!!

This place is fantastic. Popped in with an alteration, 2 mins before closing - and without even blinking they fixed me up and sent me on my way in under 10mins. Friendly service, great quality repair, good price. After being told by the alterations joint in Kotara that my extremely minor repair would take until Tuesday (3 days) to fix, the service offered by Mattara was a breath of fresh air. I'll be back!

I took some extremely large curtains to Mattar. A great job done with Excellent service. I'd go back without hesitation

My friend had a TERRIBLE experience here. They ruined her dress trying to get a coffee stain out and then couldn't find it on several occasions when she tried to pick it up. They then were incredibly rude. He said he was too busy to talk to her about it, told her she had told him to do whatever it takes to get it out, which she did not. Clearly business is good enough that they can be dismissive and rude to clients. He was condescending, aggressive and it was a horrible experience.
