Saranna Early Childhood

We first started at Saranna last year and it was beautiful. The staff were lovely and friendly. My Son took a fair while to adjust but he got there and was able to do hand over without tears. Then everything started changing. Covid obviously brought challenges but that was acceptable. What wasn’t was the amount of staff who left, got switched around rooms and constant changing of procedures. The staff seemed less happy and there was minimal handover each day. The rude miserable office staff member who’d just glare at you without even a smile was a sign of unrest.The icing on the cake was when my Son started being unsettled again and one morning he was absolutely distraught. As he clambered up me bawling the impatient “carer” so clearly looked away, clapped her hands loudly and said “you’ll see daddy later now come on!”I waited until she made eye contact with me and she didn’t seem to care at all. I then held my Son tight and walked out. When I emailed the office to confirm we wouldn’t return I receive “that’s a shame” no question of why so clearly didn’t care.After we started in the new place I realised just how bad Saranna had gotten and how awful the energy of that place became.I sincerely hope they find their happy place again but until then it’s a sadly unhappy mess.
