Such a great place to train. All of the staff are awesome and welcoming - the team that train there are brilliant. They offer advice and tips to improve your training. The more skilled members don't just crush you for fun - they are super supportive and it is an encouraging environment. Highest quality of coaches in Melbourne. The head coach has UFC experience and has trained with some of the best coaches in the U.S and Australia. The wrestling coach is currently on the Australian olympic team, and the kickboxing coach fights at the highest level in Australia, his brother is also the current Muay Thai world champion under lion fight promotions. With all that being said, this place is very family oriented and beginner friendly. We're always laughing and joking together, having a good time and everyone goes at their own pace. I started training with head coach Vik 2 years ago and his guidance has completely transformed me as a person. This is a very special place and I hope more people get to experience it.

I signed up for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu 3 months ago, having not done any sport for a couple of years. Coach Vik is a champion, made me feel so welcome. BJJ is HARD! Expect to have the hardest workout you've ever done, the learning curve is steep. Having said that, it's also the most fun sport I've ever done. The one thing I didn't expect starting out, was how great the people at the gym would be. They are honestly the highlight, I've made some great friends.

Best decision iv ever made. I have been to alot of fight gyms . Nothing beats the professionalism and the gym culture of Team Sparta . Being trained by the best in the field. Very detailed . Team Sparta is a martial arts academy with head Coach Vik Grujic, who is very professional and of high calibre.The academy is quite a large clean space with a family feel to it and great facilities. There are a variety of classes available.The team members are very friendly, respectable and always helpful. I love this about our team.My Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey has been a real highlight in my life. As a woman it has given me the self esteem and confidence to have the knowledge of self defence. Team Sparta Academy is the absolute best. I've trained at so many gyms across Melbourne the big one and small and team Sparta will be my final stop. This place is far more than a gym . The people are awsome and facilities are brand new and clean. The head coach Vik is a fantastic and people oriented coach. Doesn't matter if you are a 1 class white belt or black belt he will invest the same level of time and give you same level of respect. Everyone is valued. This place is a great place to learn martial arts and has a stacked kids to adults program. You will learn much more than martial arts here and gain much more . Love this place!
