Charleville Bush Caravan Park and Cottage

We have stayed here in a motor home previously and liked the situation. It is just out of town and a good distance from road and quiet and the Bush Cottage was our choice when travelling by car.It was lovely. Good air conditioning and ceiling fansThe big main room has a comfortable bed and lovely linen. Also the TV and good easy chair sofa. Separate full kitchen with good pots and pans, and we didn't find the fact the dishwasher was not working a major hazard. Everything else worked well, and really appreciated finding gladwrap, plastic bags, clean tea towels, plastic containers Fridge had a separate freezer.Covered patio with sunscreens opened from kitchen dining room.Through a door to bathroom and laundry with automatic washing machine excellent. Glass shower door, with good hot water.

Great spot. Peter and Kim were very friendly and welcoming. We are in awe of their lifestyle choices! Graham gave a talk about his trips to Lake Eyre and shared a snippet of his vast knowledge with campground guests. A trip with Travel West is definitely on our bucket list. Modern clean bathrooms and kitchen facilities available. Thanks for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Wonderful rural camp-site, wide open spaces with friendly staff. The amenities were very clean and although unisex, didn't bother my husband and I.

Great park even with kids as there was open space to play, ride a bike and kick a ball. Yes it’s bush but the amenities are clean, site good size and drive through. Great communal fire pit.

Only half the facilities were open and no disabled facilities open at all. Remained locked. Disabled facilities would have been helpful as I just had a total knee replacement. Camp-fire at night but no damper was disappointing. Don't think I'll be back.

Fabulous place to stay, could have stayed for weeks. Very clean amenities with floor to ceiling walls, a luxury in caravan park bathrooms. Great laundry facilities and camp kitchen, pleasant bush walk with lots of wildlife around all the time. Deb and Graham are a font of knowledge and great hosts. Thanks the stay, we'll be back.

We loved our stay at this charming little park. Our hosts, Lee and James, were welcoming, friendly and humble. We enjoyed the communal fire each night along with some camp oven damper.Ample space, unisex amenities, well equipped laundry and camp kitchen.

Stayed one night on powered site which was all great but the only thing I didn’t think was great was the use of the facilities . They have 2 amenities buildings and they are unisex . Why not have one male and the other female. I went to toilet this morning and a man in his dressing gown having a shave in the wash basin and as I was walking out 3 men then came in to use it as well . I ran into a lady on the way out and she was distressed about men coming in when she was showering so she decided not to use them at all . I do not believe this is the right thing to do and for that reason I will not be staying again .Also if the washing machine is not working place tape across it and mark it as not in use broken instead of going off at the people who were trying to use it . It helps to be nice to people
