I bought a guitar online from these guys that was supposedly in stock, only to find out that they don't actually have the guitar (thats fine i understand these things happen) the problem is that it took them over 2 weeks to notify me that they don't actually have the guitar I purchased, after requesting a refund it took another 2 weeks before they attempted to send a refund through paypal, a few days later i was informed from PayPal that this refund cancelled as they didn't have funds to send through, they completely ignored my email asking why the refund was cancelling and took another week to send through another one which finally cleared. Don't buy from these guys, they have terrible customer service and will happily ignore you when you try to contact them.

Brought a new Kerry king dean signature v through these guys, I ran I to some trouble with postage issued after running through my delivery details with the staff twice when I ordered it. I've now had to call again to sort it out once more. Purchasing the guitar over the phone was seamless and wasn't bad, as a Dean guitar fan and these guys being the main distributor as Dean guitars Australia honestly I'd have expected a little better customer service over all. I'm from Queensland and I'm going out of my way to provided your company business a little more friendly support would have been nice. Over all not too bad. Definitely could be better in some areas. Hopefully next time I'll have a better review for these guys.

My daughter snapped a string and was devastated that she'd have no guitar all weekend. We dropped down to Guitar World and she got it back, all clean and restrung in less than an hour! She was so happy. Outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable service. Will go back for sure.

Their website states “Price Match Promise - Guitar World promise to do our best to match or beat any genuine online or advertised store price from an authorised Australian dealer”. Made a phone call to their store that went something like this:Seller: (answers phone): ...**indecipherable**.....Me: Is that Guitar World?Seller: Yeah?Me: I sent an online enquiry via your website but didn’t get a response.Seller: Yeah?Me: I'm looking at a set of Fender classical acoustic strings for $18 on your website. Manny's Music in Leederville are selling the exact same strings for $14. Was just wondering if you might consider price matching?Seller: Where are you??Me: I’m in BeckenhamSeller (abruptly): Ahh, I’ve only got one pack left, and it’s damaged, and I’m just about to delete them off the website right now. So you’ll have to get them at Manny’s.Checked their website again later, same strings still listed as in stock. There was clearly no damaged pack or intention to delete the product. Bought them from Manny’s online instead for $19 delivered. Ironically, paying a dollar extra to have them delivered to my door from the other side of town worked out cheaper than driving locally to buy them from these clowns.

Similar to some other reviews, I wasn’t acknowledged when I came into the store. The store person was casually having a meal with food spread across the counter, with his friends sat at the counter where a customer would normally stand. When I went up to ask about a product, I felt like I was interrupting them and my question was quickly dismissed with no intention of helping me. Needless to say, I walked out without purchasing anything.

My first experience with these guys was many years ago when I traded my gibson joan jett melody maker for a lovely esp 1000 les paul goldtop in imacculate condition i was happy with my experience there I found the owner to be very polite and helpful. Couple years later i went back into the shop to look at what they had i was really looking for a fender and found many to chose from but there hanging on the wall among many other collectable old vintage Japanese guitars was a mint condition tokai st japanese strat.. I bought it and it was a very lovely strat at a great price. I have since returned again after a usa fender and found a beautiful fender elite I had to have so I laybuyed it using an old Japanese guitar i had in my collection and got a fantastic price for it. I have since returned just yesterday and used another old Japanese guitar to get much needed quick cash and some more off my fender laybuy. I am in the market for a new amp and the owner who is a great guy and treats his customers with curtosy and respect allowed me to try every amp out in the shop i wanted and i found the one I wanted. Every experience ive had in guitar world Cannington has been a pleasant one and I love the collection of old and rare guitars they have. Im a songwriter who records many genres of music and im always looking for a new sound you can find all of my music on my facebook account Jamon Allan Hartzer.. I have over 500 recorded complete songs feel free to friend me.. Anyway guitar world has earned thrmselves not only 5 stars but a loyal customer who will now only buy from them and I will tell every guitarist I know that guitar world Cannington is the place to go. Im looking forward to getting my amp not just to play it but so I get to go back in that shop. Guitar world Cannington 5 stars easily

Great place for just about everything you need. Lovely, friendly customer service, courtesy of Rob. Had a breeze trading in an amp for some new gear. Felt like visiting some mates.

My experience with guitar world" didnt live up to the name in the slightest

I walked into the store and this old man didn't even acknowledge me, nor did he ask me if I needed help with anything. There was no music playing so I felt uncomfortable especially since he wasn't offering any help or friendliness. I said Have a nice day" & "See Ya" and he didn't even say anything back as I left. No customer service skills..."
