Talwood Hotel
Under new management, we stay here overnight and love every minute of it, the food is of a very high standard & rooms were very good. The new management is trying to lift the quality of service and accommodation, I would recommend the Talwood Hotel to all travelers.

We couldn't get accommadation at larger towns, so we headed east and found this little gem. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. The room was basic, but clean and the bed comfy. Shared toilets and showers, but these were clean and tidy. The food was generous in servings. When you're are tired after driving all day, this place was a gift. I'd stay here again.

Great atmosphere, meals and drinks. Friendly staff. Amenities basic but clean and well kept. We are staying in the parking area for caravans. Spacious, flat, and power a little short on shade. But we have air-con so can't complain. Staying here for a few days to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend this to travellers.

Arrived last night @ 6pm, after a fair drive. Great Pizza, Cold Beer, Helena was very welcoming, great grassed area at the back for our Van, use of amenities included, no charge.Highly recommended stopover.

This is a very quiet country hotel with great hospitality and good food at reasonable prices. If going this way I recommend you get off the main road and support this hotel.

A really nice place to stay, especially if you're travelling solo and rates are very reasonable; the food is excellent (I cleared my plate every time!) and all the staff are friendly and helpful. There are spaces for caravans to park, I noticed, if you are travelling in one; but if you're flying into the airstrip nearby, they'll come and pick you up! It's in the centre of town so very handy to everything. Fellow guests made the visit a memorable one and there was a great sense of homeliness and community. Everyone in the town was welcoming and it's a great place to visit and stay a while at the hotel :)
