Been coming here to learn violin for years, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Whether for young students or adults like me who wanted to learn something new, Chris is patient and understanding, while making sure you’re doing it properly and taking on board the skills he’s teaching.

I am getting music lessons for the violin at the moment with Tim. He is very patient and thorough in his teaching even when I make mistakes. I feel like I am making good progress as a beginner player under his tutelage and would highly recommend him as a teacher for anyone looking to start learning the violin.

My 6yo started a few months ago. Deirdre makes her feel comfortable & is patient with her, the lessons go at the child’s pace but are interesting, & she uses little kid-appropriate rewards that help with motivation. Prices are reasonable and lessons are quite on time. Communication is easy & punctual. I would definitely recommend.

My daughter was 4 when she started. I was so nervous as to whether Aliyah would be able to learn and understand, however, the lessons were broken down in a way that was fun & relatable. My daughter loves coming to her piano lesson and has a beautiful relationship with her teacher. Thank you!

Deidre is a wonderful piano teacher. She is kind and patient and can adapt her teaching style to all levels of skill and student age. She is flexible with her time and can accomodate my family's changing social commitments. We started with my kids taking lessons and now the whole family has joined in. Music lessons have become a very enjoyable family event. I can highly recommend her.

I have tried many piano teachers for my daughter before I was recommended by a friend to Deirdre. Initially I was hesitant as their fees were a bit dearer but after a few lessons I don’t mind paying the difference. Deirdre is a very experienced teacher that can bring out the best in your child, even if they seem abit slow with their progress. She uses simple and creative techniques to get my daughter engaged and motivated after each lesson. I recommend her to all my friends who wishes to learn the piano.

I am an adult learning the violin and was with another music school before I heard about Carnes Hill Music Teachers from a work colleague. I saw her playing skills and was truly impressed when she only has played for a year. We spoke about how she learnt the basic techniques on the violin and I was intrigued by the simple methods her teacher taught. Since starting lessons here, I am impressed by the experience of the teachers to simplify violin playing through easy to understand techniques. I have not regretted making the switch as it has saved me significant practise time and money in the long run.
