I was trying this salon for the first time thinking that I live locally and could perhaps use local facilities rather than going to shopping centre. However it turned out to be a bad idea. When I made the booking the hair Stylist Angie quoted me totally different price to what I was charged for after the job. One would think that it will be least courteous and ethical to inform your customer if there is going to be potentially a big difference in price at the end. But not this place, they charged me almost double. When I questioned Angie before paying the she could not justify properly. Also she did not cut my hair properly, she took a little off from back. At least half of my hair was not touched. So I had to go and get it fixed by another hair dresser straight after..Never going back

Had been debating short hair for two years and after a festival where my long blonde hair had just turned to shreds, I decided it was time to make the cut. Walked in randomly, no appointment and was in the chair within two minutes. The owner did an excellent job and spent a considerable amount of time making every snip and chop perfect! I would definitely go back. Very pleased that for the first time in 19 years I've walked out of a hairdresser happy!!

A really professional salon, best that I've been to. The staff always gives you feedback on what your hair suits best for your individual hair type. Thoroughly recommend this place.

I phoned for a quote and spoke to the manager of this salon. Found him quite unpleasant over the phone when I queried why their quote was approximately $100 more than what I was paying elsewhere for the same cut/colour (he quoted around $400, I'm currently paying $300). He then tried to tell me that I didn't need foils every 7 weeks and I only needed them every second visit (ie. 14 weeks inbetween foils) which I thought strange considering he's never seen my hair and I know for certain that I need foils to touch up my roots every 7 weeks because my hair looks horrible with the roots! Based on this phone call I will not ever be going into this salon or giving them my business. If they're going to be rude over the phone when all I'm trying to do is get a quote, then why would I waste my time going in there?

DO NOT GO HERE I had my year ten formal a month ago and had a terrible experience at the edge. Usually I go to Jillian Adam which I would recommend to everyone and anyone for service, care factor, and attention to detail in all aspect of their hair and spa. However due to my formal being on a Monday when they are not open I was forced to attend the Edge as it is the only hair salon open in the area on mondays. Two weeks before I booked and attended a “practice run” to see that it would turn out correctly despite my wild curls. The lady was very nice made sure I was happy before I left and told me to wash my hair the night before formal to make it easier to pin. She took picture and said she would see me in two weeks and we left. The day of the formal I turned up the only customer in the salon. He manager looked in his book, the only means of booking system they had which only stated my name and how much time I would take. He instructed me to go to the basin so he could wash my hair (which I was not mean to have) while he asked his other two hairdressers if they knew what I was getting. The hairdresser I had previously visited was nowhere in sight. No one seemed to know why I was there and I had to tell them the situation. They asked for photos of what the other girl did and after my questioning said she was not there but didn’t specify why. The woman could barely speak English, burnt my ear and side of my face the day of my formal and simply asked why I had moved so suddenly out of her arm reach, needed continual instruction from me as she began to competely straighten my hair instead of putting in light curls. When telling her the pins were hurting my head like the first hairdresser had told me to do she continued on like she didn’t hear me or didn’t understand. By the end of the two hours I wanted to cry between the 80s style hair I had and the time it took despite the many things I had to do. My hair was nothing like the original and I only went home to fix it despite the $160 we’d paid for the first time and $100 for he second. In the end the first was completely irrelevant due to the completely different hairstyle I received. I wanted to cry and it ruined my formal. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Avoid it like the plague or risk having the whole side of your face burnt on a special day.

The Edge hairdressers are all talented and lovely people, I always feel welcome when I'm there. After my hair cut I am always complemented and ask who I go to. I have had several of the staff attend to my hair and they have all done a wonderful job. I would highly recommend any of the Team.

Great salon. Easily booked online a few days in advance and was welcomed in. Love getting a cup of tea with my haircut! The staff were lovely and my hair looks wonderful. Can't ask for much more than that!
