This was only supposed to be a coffee stop along the way. Turned out to be so much more, brilliant coffee, great food. 5 stars earned!!!

So, so so good!! Fresh & seriously yummy. Extremely reasonable prices, especially for the quality of food you get. Plus if you sit outside you get a gorgeous, relaxing view of the gardens. If you are in the area, visit this gem.

Very pretty, daytrippers: dont settle for bakery pie on main street pemberton, this is just around the corner on the edge of the forest, much nicer! Definitely try the share platter!

Had a lovely late lunch with Holy Smoke Cafe just 2 days ago. We were made more than welcome while waiting to be able to check into our accommodation. The expat Kiwi waitress gave us excellent service including dropping off my credit card that I had left sitting on a table. She was also willing to give us some ideas on what to see in Pemby". Great to see that at least one or two people know the meaning of good customer service. Thank you so much."

Discovered this lovely place a couple of weeks ago, passing through with relatives from Scotland; we were all very impressed with the friendly and attentive staff (who could not have been more helpful) when serving us with good fresh coffee, tea and first class toasted sandwiches which really hit the spot!.My apologies for the delay in writing this post, however my wife and I hope to visit the area again in the not too distant future and we look forward to another lunch at the Holy Smoke Cafe and a chat with the staff in such a relaxing setting.

Holy Smoke Gourmet Cafe
We devoured the delicious sharing platter which was perfect for the two of us. Lovely setting, very high quality produce with so much flavour and love gone into making the platter. Only downside, be prepared to wait. The platters seem to take much longer than everything else to make. We had a wait of 45 minutes whilst everyone else around us, including those who ordered after us, receiving their food before.
