Prospect Hill Retarding Basin
A great place to take your dog for a walk. It has new concrete walking paths around the lake. However it doesn't have any seating.

Beutiful suburban park. Has lots of open space for walks. Please however be respectful of the local wildlife. Many different birds visit this lake and don't let your dog run wild in there off the leash. Excellent soccer fields too.

I imagine a person's opinion of this small reserve would depend on their needs, but as a walker I'd rate it fairly average. Probably not a bad place if you're local and looking for somewhere to wander through with your dogs. There's some parking, and areas for sport but I imagine the facilities are only open when there is sport going on.

Very nice soccer club with well attended grounds. Has a mini grandstand so that you can sit and watch the game in relative comfort. Nice canteen with friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Too many dogs off lead when there are signs saying dogs must be on lead and signs saying pick up after your dog, but mess everywhere. Obviously people who visit there can't read.I take my dogs on lead, there for a nice walk around the track and try to avoid the mess and other dogs unless they are on lead.No seating anywhere and no bins for rubbish.It is usually keep mowed pretty well though. Lots of gum trees, not a pleasant walk when very windy.Has been more popular during lockdown. Usually very quiet.

Draining the water and digging it all out at the moment.A lot of work going on there. Great walk with the grandkids and dog.
