overall it's good to seek healthcare help at UQ clinic, but waiting time is too long, exceeding appointment time more than 30 minutes happened to me many times. What's worse, there was no explanation at all. thank you for your patience" didn't make sense. This just happened to me again when seeing Dr Reza Safari Nejad. a bit disappointing..."

Poor level of service. After 5 years of visiting, there was a $35 fee for being staff with no warning. I saw Dr Huang, who booked me in for a 30 min surgery rather than pop my blister - had to do it at home. Reception staff are overworked, therefore very rude on any given day.

After a year of writing a complaint to the head of staff that runs this clinic. In addition to this, we have also called the receptionist member who rudely told us that ‘you’re a time waster’ as I was dealing with crippling anxiety and depression. This is a place I highly do not recommend for any students. If you would like to have $40 out of pocket for being 5 minutes late- this is this is the place for you!Rude staff members who is happy to waste your time? - enjoyLove dehumanising the human spirit if you’re an international student?- awesome because this is how low they think.I have never felt more degraded in my mental health then dealing with this facility. I rather go to the psychology building and get better treatment then go back here. I still don’t get how they are still running.

I have been a patient at UQ Health for several years, and I am consistently impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the doctors. In my experience, Chinese doctors often have biases and prejudices that lead to misdiagnosis, and they frequently prescribe expensive Chinese medicine that does not work for my body. However, UQ Health doctors prescribe only the necessary medications that fit your specific diagnosis. They also provide valuable advice and referral recommendations. The psychiatrists and psychologists at UQ Health are highly sought after, and you may need to wait a few months for an appointment. However, making an appointment with other GPs is quick and easy. I also appreciate the kindness of the staff at the front desk.Overall, UQ Health is a top-notch medical center that I highly recommend for their professional, friendly, and effective medical care.

Had an upsetting experience today while checking in for my appointment today. Upon checking in, I told the receptionist that I had forgotten my student ID card but I have my student number memorized. I was met back with judgement as the receptionist said “you need to bring it next time” insinuating i was grossly inconveniencing her. I shook my head, just showing a sign of frustration but agreed with her but her response to my head shake was rudely asking “if i have a problem, or if something is wrong with what she said”. After repeatedly explaining that i have my student id number memorized and that I had felt judgment in the way she told me that, I was met back with even more judgment and attitude. This resulted in a heated back and forth in the middle of the clinic while no other staff jumped in to deescalate. I was told that the clinic cares about students and would never show any judgement but while I repeatedly expressed to her my struggle to find and book an appointment, let alone one with a female doctor, the stress it gave me, i was met with no apology or empathy (which disregarded what she just said). I had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment crying for my doctor. Uq receptionists need to have more empathy, need to be more accommodating, and need to be better at their jobs. They have no idea what is going on in a students life, why they might be late, forget their student ID card or how much effort it took to get themselves to the doctors that day. Lovely doctors though. I went to see Dr Andrea and she was nothing but sincere and accommodating to me.

I know it’s unfair to give one star regardless of other nice staffs and doctors but the rude Asian female receptionist really ruined my mood. Why she can’t be friendly to another Asian female? I was nicely greeting her and asking her questions for 30 seconds but she ignored all of them and the first word to me was rudely told me that I was late and there’s a $40 charge for late. I mean how dare you for a clinic that average waiting periods are more than 15 minutes? I would accept it if I was told nicely and I know it was my fault to be late but the attitude was really unacceptable. And there’s free mask provided in UQ library but the mask here is $2.2 each, totally robbery.

Imagine you have an appointment and they make you wait for one hour after your appointment due time and after the hour when you go and complain that you have been waiting for a very long time and you have other things to do especially it's Ramadan and you did not eat or drink anything since morning and want to get it done and head home before the really bad traffic in Brisbane after people finish there work and start heading home. It's a shame that they dont even treat you with the least amount of respect to apologize for all the wait and the trouble it has caused you. The medical centre is a representation of the University and it should not be as bad as this since it leaves a bad image of the standards and the value of time and other people been kept waiting with not even a small.

As a staff at UQ for almost 10 years, I was disappointed with the doctor's appointment today. Although I told Dr Maria multiple times that I don't have COVID and I tried to show her the PCR results, she completely ignored me and she even refused to examine the lump that I had on my shoulder. I even asked her for a referral letter to a specialist and she totally refused. She was not helpful at all and very impatient. I would expect better service to UQ staff and students.
