Uno's Mode Expert Tailoring And Shoe Repairs

Was referred here by the Fendi boutique across the road to fix a pair of shoes I ruined. All the staff (two women and a gentleman that assessed the shoes) were friendly and as helpful as possible. I appreciated that they were honest that not much could be done to repair the shoes, but they gave many suggestions on options to repair them as close as possible. The price they quoted was reasonable but I decided to just wear the shoe damaged and make the small repairs to it the gentleman advised. I had taken the shoe to another well known repair shop in the cbd prior to coming here who were quite dismissive and unhelpful (hardly even looked at the shoe but offered to resole it for $65) it didn’t need to be resoled yet as the damage was on the top. I was impressed with the effort and honesty Uno Mode offered in trying to help with my first ruined shoes that I had another pair of shoes resoled. They did a lovely job for a reasonable price and they matched the sole colour perfectly. I am very happy as the shoes are even more comfortable and not slippery with the new soles.

Man ruined my $275 shoes by sloppily and unnecessarily stitching them- not even what I asked. Stitches were so bad and not even in a straight line. I cried when I picked up my shoes. Rude Russian woman forced me to pay. Asked him for refund showing him pictures of the awful work and treated me poorly. I am now disputing with visa and reporting them to AAC given his attitude. Do not go to these people if you value your property. Hack jobs and thieves!

The woman at the front desk is quite possibly the rudest and most cold person I've interacted with in a long time. I've been here a few times and always gave her the benefit of the doubt but after my most recent interaction I've had enough. Her customer service is beyond dismal, I will not be coming back.

Inna is a magician. I did loads of research and ended up asking Max Mara who they use & Inna was their go to woman. I purposely purchased an oversized (to get correct shoulder width) 100% wool, fully lined 3/4 coat online from UK and had to have it completely resized except the back. Inna was a magician - multiple seam changes, very fair price, exceptional work - you would never know the coat has been completely resized. Being a basic sewer myself I had other quotes given from other tailors and she was the only who recommended all the appropriate seams to be changed. Delightful talented woman who has re made a coat for life - I’m one very happy customer!

You get what you pay for that's for sure, the lovely ladies never disappoint. Needed a couple of garments AND a pair of a shoes repaired for an upcoming wedding asap, and they delivered just as promised, on time and without fuss. Will be coming back again, Inna and the ladies are amazing.

Repaired an extremely rare dress of mine perfectly, for a great price too. Highly recommended.

They demanded that I dry clean pants before they would alter it. I took it someplace else. Zero problems there, no dry cleaning necessary.
