My partner and I came to this shop today in hopes of doing some shopping as we're from out of town. Every other shop we've visited on our trip has been welcoming and felt inviting, this shop is the complete opposite! We barely even got a hello when entering the premises (no other customers were in the shop) and than proceeded to be followed around the shop and made to feel like we were being watched constantly. I don't want to pull the black card but I think its more than a coincidence.

Coffee was excellent! My friend and I ordered a red velvet gateaux each and both were rock hard. Took it back and we’re told they could soften it in the microwave…..what? And that it was from being in the fridge. I don’t think so……they were really, really stale. They offered a refund or something else to replace, which we did but we were made to feel as if we were being too fussy. The cheesecake that we had instead of was lovely but they really need to check their display case foods.

OMG, Creme shortening what an AWESOME product. Thankyou to the lovely lady that suggested to give it a try. Edible glitter also a big hit with the g/kids.

The staff are always extremely helpful at il Mondo. It's an absolute pleasure to shop here.I just love the variety in this shop, there are so many different things to buy for cooking with, as well as classy things to serve your meals on.If they don't have what you need, the staff will help you find what you are looking for and order it in. Highly recommended for all of your cooking needs.

Really nice shop.So many interesting things for sale.Really lovely and super helpful staff.Everything you could possibly want for your kitchen is here.Even has a window into the coffee shop next door.Highly recommended.

A little wonky with the parking lot entrance, as you can't turn in from King Street, northbound - approach from Woolcock onto King, is best.My go-to test for a cafe is a mocha and I must say that Il Mondo nailed it. Good beans, good roast, good chocolate. Desserts looked good, place was clean and staff friendly.Reason for 4 stars, not 5: Closed early on a Saturday, though the inside was mostly packed, ushering us out and cutting my meeting short. No reason given.
