Very lovely place to stop. Allowed to stay for 3 days. They have a donation box by the bins and water fill up.

We loved our stay in Moonta, the free camp in this beautiful town was great and worth the donation. Lovely coffee shop on the corner and clean toilets 500 mtr from campground. Will definitely stay again.

She's a bit dusty but it's a great spot to explore the town and surrounds from. Caretaker is a tip bloke and will come round to give you the run down in the evening. Meant to be self-contained only, there is also 24hr toilet at the park a 5 min walk away.

Great big area. Plenty of trees for shade or wind protection. Not far from the centre of town, good shops, pubs, bottle O, hardware etc, 10 minute walk to toilets. Area is dry and gets very dusty in windy conditions.Not enough rubbish bins. Only downer. The bush that our caravan backed onto was absolutely riddled with rubbish. Disappointing that some Campers just don’t understand how to clean up after themselves.Donation fee

Fantastic place to camp while exploring Moonta, Port Hughes, Moonta Bay, Kadina and Walleroo all less than 15 min drive away.Take time to wander the streets of Moonta...Plenty of space even for big rigs.

This place is amazing!!! So much room for people to camp or stop overnight. There's a spot to donate if you would like too, bins for rubbish and dumping spots for caravans etc. No toilets, but some nearby you may be able to use. Great spot, would definitely go back

Great place… easy access for big rigs. Dump point and potable water. Township is only 500m walk away…. Donations keep places like this alive!!
