I've dealt with several different specialist law firms on seperate matters. My initial enquiries with Websters was the most unhelpful and frustrating i've ever experienced. I thought Andrew had read the brief which i emailed through before the appointment. Based on the businesses website and my discussions with reception, i was under the impression that Andrew had experience in dealing with administrative law & commercial litigation in cases similar to mine. When i asked him directly about his experience i discovered that was not the case. I was told that for $10,000 placed in trust he'd look at the brief and after he'd looked at it he'd decide what he'd charge for looking at it. I suggested that he quote me for advice/actions in increments based on my brief and my instructions, then i'd place $10,000 in trust to be drawn against as agreed throughout the process. There was one point in the discussion with Andrew that I realised that he wasn't going to trust me nor respect me for my openess and honesty. I got the worst feeling and took the matter to WBH Legal who reviewed the brief and were able to give me upfront information about their firms capacity to suceed in the legal argument.

My Return To Work claim was settled a couple years ago, however, with already stringent workers compensation legislation about to be tightened in SA, I cannot recommend engaging a knowledgeable lawyer enough. Attempting to navigate the process yourself is fraught with difficulty, obstruction and undermining tactics from RTWSA unless you are either a legal expert yourself or have one advocating for you.Very belated but still sincere thanks to Firm Principal Ken Gluche and Senior Associate Quynh Hoang at Websters for handling my case with care and attention to detail. Great care was taken at the start to ensure my expectations were well managed. This included a clear and informative explanation of all of my available legal options as well as the risks involved for each option. Pricing was realistic and transparent, with regular updates provided of the running total. At the end of it all, my fees were approximately 4-5 thousand dollars less than what I was bracing myself for.In addition to a successful outcome, the stress that was eliminated by having my communications with RTWSA entirely handled by Quynh made the fees worthwhile for me. My case was a relatively straightforward and uncomplicated one, which really shouldn't have required a lawyer at all. But as soon as the focus moved from my physical recovery to money being paid out to me, it became apparent that my difficulties in dealing with RTWSA would only intensify if I continued to go it alone.A highly personable and professional team who I strongly recommend.
